No.

I have my bookkeeper in any interview where I'm dealing with someone that could be involved in the financial side of the house.

And when the hiring decision comes, I couldn't give a !@#$ less what my bookkeeper has to say about the decision. She's there to answer questions about some of the day to day stuff that I honestly do not have much clue about - I don't have the time to track all of that.

Pioli's presence could very easily have been informational and almost exclusively for the purpose of answering questions from the interviewee and/or keeping the interview progressing with an acceptable flow. You can only not have an answer because the last guy was doing the job so many times before you look like you don't know what the !@#$ you're doing and perhaps lose a desireable candidate.

Pioli is pretty good at the GM job. Everyone hates him because he was doing far more than being just the GM. Yeah he let Carr go, because he was smart enough to know you don't pay your #2 CB more than your #1. Other than that he did a great job of retaining guys like Charles, DJ, Hali, and Flowers. Just because we had the cap space, doesn't make it OK to throw out stupid contracts to a player that wanted to go play for his favorite team anyways.

Just because his role is reduced greatly, doesn't mean he isn't doing anything anymore. Most GM's don't have the kind of power he had, unless they also owned the team like Jerry Jones.

Clark Hunt will be more involved, as will the HC. It wont be Don Pioli anymore, just GM. It would be pretty similar to his role with Bill in NE when they won three Super Bowls together.

Honestly, Pioli had to be in that room. Hunt could've gotten cornered and turned into a yammering buffoon had the wrong question been asked and he had no answer for it. With Pioli in the room, he can gracefully toss the question to the person that was responsible for the day to day operations. If Pioli isn't there, the conversation essentially halts on the subject and you have the interview equivalent of an awkward silence.

If Pioli is still in this organization, he has to be in that room. Period. Should Hunt have fired him outright and given those questions to Farmer? Perhaps, but that's not what happened.

If this is how Clark wants to do this, then Pioli has to be there to keep the interview going smoothly. The worst thing that could happen would be an awkward interview that causes them to lose Reid's interest and gets him on a plane to AZ without an offer.
You're far overstating Pioli's role, and I realize that your post is going to inspire a lot of "This's's's!!!" because it quells fears.

Pioli was in charge of football operations. No doubt. But he didn't hold the golden key to this super-secret, ultra-elaborate operation that only he could understand, despite the fact that he tried to run things like this was the case.

If he's not there and a person like Farmer is, the interview goes just as smoothly as any interview for an organization trying to find a GM.

Yeah, this is reeruned. Pioli is the guy that has the team knowledge. He's not going ANYWHERE until someone is hired, and the fact that anyone is even concerned about it is stupid. Prospective coaches are going to have questions, and he's literally the only guy in the building that can answer them.

It's not my money, why should I give a ****?

However, when I start paying my money for the product, a product severely negatively affected by Scott, I'm gonna voice an opinion, while not spending any money.

It's possible that I was being ironical because of the Royals reference. This is a prime example of an owner, literally, not trying to win for over a decade, fist ****ing an entire fan base in the process, and the fans keep begging for more anal.

I hate that Scott is still around, but I am happy that Clark has taken a more proactive role and reduced Scott's power. I can take some comfort in that.
