Chiefs Planet has lost its burst.

I log in to get chiefs fans take on the game and our board is overrun with Donk/Chargers fans. How does that happen. Mods, suck! This place is a shell of what it used to be. It's laughable.

I think it's just that a lot of kc fans on the planet are taking a time out to regroup and whatnot. The old planet will return, there's too much upside to this kc team to ignore.

At some point a franchise that cares would say something to calm the masses, but this one is doing again what they always do, and that's to circle the wagons and say nothing until the storm passes.

Looking at our schedule next year I'm just laughing at the excuses we're going to hear for how they laid and egg. Everything from "it was a tough schedule" (after a year when going 9-0 isn't allowed to be openly attributed to the "easy" schedule), and injuries, and the super excuse of "we brought on a lot of new players, so they're just learning how to play with each other - we'll be better next year [2015]", yeah, this coming year could be funny as all these revelations/predictions come true. And I'm going to laugh even more when "we got hit by the injury bug" and "we had a lot of kids out with concussions" are added to the list to explain how 2014 just wasn't meant to be (for the )... And the wagons will circle again then too and the team will go full-on KenDICK Lewis and hide from the public like a hibernating bear like they do every December/January at 1 Arrowhead Way...

Calm the masses? So the pooped the bed in the playoff. You do realize that most folks on the board thought we'd be lucky to get 6 wins last season, don't you? Based on those expectations, everyone should be giving each other High-5s just for having a winning record regardless of how "easy" our schedule was this past year.

Going into last year, the lion's share of the "easy" schedule was against AFCW teams. Who would of predicted that 3 AFCW teams would be in the playoffs this year? No one. That's who. Who would of predicted that the Texans would have the #1 pick going into this draft? No one. That's who. Who would of predicted that the NFCE would be a cake walk? OK, some folks did, probably....

We'll be fine next year. Quit being a little girl.

I can't wait for next year.... It's going to be just grand.... Fat-Andy has to produce, as does Sutton, or they both look like idiots. I'm going to stock up on pop-corn to watch it all unfold...

at the exact same moment, the Chiefs blew a 28 point lead, antifreeze sales sky rocketed and Chiefsplanet traffic slowed to a near stand still, with the only exception being the fans of other teams that are still around gloating to lifeless screen names...

Well, to be honest, with that colossal and epic kick in the teeth/gut/balls loss "our" season was over in a flash. All that's left is to watch the assholes on better teams move on and play for the glory of THEIR cities..

that's the weak link to this team going forward, including Sutton but its his first year,,,,,, no excuse

You are being nice! He didn't have answers against almost any team in the second half of the season. As for needing new players, yeah, perhaps 11-20 of them! I'm not sure who was stellar in the last few games. Hell, even against Indy our "rested" D-line got punked by the Colts O-line. And it's pretty unfair to hop between "worn out" and "had rust on them" - whichever is convenient at the time. So we had the one fumble they caused, but by that standard, even the secondary had some picks, so what's it all mean. The bottom line is that the line and LBs didn't get pressure and the secondary can't "cover a guy in a wheel chair"!

So yeah, Fat-Andy ****ed up by coming to Sutton's defense (even before hitting the buffet!!) to keep him scared, but the players should be sweating it out for the entire off season. But I'm sure Fat-Andy has already told them they're fine and asked them to accept his friend request on FB!

Not to mention the fact that the Colts OLine was not exactly championship caliber. I don't know why happened on defense down the stretch, but that loss to the Colts was the second worst in my memory (the first one for me was the Colt-Chiefs Divisional Playoff game in 1995)...and the only reason this one was so bad was the fact that we actually had a 28 point lead. If we had been losing that game, I think I would have just accepted it and been happier with the season. Now, I am still happy with the season overall, but confused as hell - obviously we're not the defensive powerhouse we were early in the season...but can you really say we're an offensive powerhouse?

I think I have more questions about the Chiefs than I did mid-season

I was at the no PUNT game in arrowhead against the Colts JFC that game MFG!

The Chiefs will have to do some fancy drafting, and moving players in and out to improve.

Season was nothing I expected going in, but to much the same going out

The GM seems pretty good about getting better talent on this team, but clearly they need to hit on a good draft for once not easy by no means,
