The Jaguars are no longer teal.

I didn't see this posted anywhere, and thought it was extremely interesting. Well, interesting for Jacksonville.

They're going to regret those black uniforms on those 90 degree Los Angeles Sundays.

Jacksonville Jaguars Announce Switch To Black As Primary Uniform Color

New Jacksonville Jaguars owner Shahid Khan has said he plans on changing the face of his franchise and a lot of those changes have already been revealed to fans.

It started with improvements to the locker room and EverBank Field to improve the fan experience, but now the team has announced a new change that will alter the look of the franchise forever.

Starting with next Sunday’s home game against the Chicago Bears, the Jaguars will switch to black as the primary color of their home uniforms.
Ever since the birth of the franchise, the Jaguars have used teal as their primary jersey color, using black uniforms only on special occasions. Now the teal jerseys will be reserved for special occasions.

“On the field our identity will grow in black jerseys,” Khan said of the switch in primary colors.

Now that the Jaguars have announced that they are switching to black uniforms, they are expected to get a completely new design from new NFL uniform provider Nike for the 2013 season.

It would be the second major redesign of the Jaguars uniform in recent history. The Jaguars had their uniforms redesigned prior to the 2009 season and completely eliminated the black uniforms because former owner Wayne Weaver believed all of their uniform combinations made it hard to build an identity.

Now Khan wants to build that identity with the color black and hopefully with the change in color comes a change in the losing culture that has surrounded this franchise since they last made the playoffs in 2007.

Half awake sipping my coffeee I first read this as

The Jaguars are no longer Real.

I was like wow they probably shut down at 1 A.M in the morning to avoid their 100 hardcore fans from rioting.

I'd rather take the 90 degree weather in L.A, then 90 degree weather in jacksonville with the 100% humidity.
