Bashaud Breeland is visiting Chiefs on Monday

Cornerback Bashaud Breeland is visiting the Raiders on Sunday and Monday then headed to the Chiefs on Tuesday, a source said. He’s the one who signed a three-year, $24 million deal with the Panthers that was voided after he failed a physical. He’s healthy and ready to go.

The Chiefs are also starting camp with vets then I think, not that it matters too much I guess.

Exactly, you can play for the Division winners the last 2 years or cellar dwellers for the money. One team has the best young QB in the NFL and the other team has an overhyped, overpaid one that wears eyeliner.

Yep, very tough decision.

This signing would actually have me feeling better about the CB position overall then I did last year or in 2016. The depth would actually look pretty salty on paper.

The cellar dwellers don't even have any money. He'd be playing for peanuts the first year of his contract.

That's my read. The Faid made him an offer to keep him from leaving, and he's weighing it.

Surely their offer would still be on the table if he decided to do the KC visit? That's what I don't get. It makes no sense for a free agent player to not even TRY leveraging two division rivals against each other.

Unless the Raiders have it set up like Shark Tank where they're gonna go out if he talks to anybody else, I think Breeland is being a ****ing idiot.

Well to be fair the Chiefs had a quality QB the last two years and he is no longer around. Lots of hype on Mahomes but hold your horses there bud cuz hes only played 1 game.

Im guessing Breeland is mowing over the Raiders offer and then he has to pass a physical which it sounds like he had problems with that recently.

You would think so, but I could see a "take it or leave it" type offer, particularly when division rivals are in play, and you're strapped for cash. Could be a bluff by the Faid. Could be Breeland trying to create the illusion/awareness of interest prior to visiting KC.

It's definitely odd timing, though.

The Raiders aren't exactly doing the Mack extension stuff very well. Could really come back to bite them.

People keep saying Mahomes is getting hyped- but the media have barely had a good word to say about him- they have been too busy asking him about Alex.

Yes, we are hyping him on here and for good reason. Pat looks like the real deal in every possible way.

Breeland is not going to make or break our season. If he wants to play for the Faders- **** him. They are going to have a long season of losing.

Exactly, so I wonder why he is tweeting "decisions ...decisions"?

Chucky must have given him a Tony Robbins feel-good speech?

If Bashaud Breeland decides to sign with the Chiefs that would give me a little more peace of mind knowing that Nelson/Amerson/Reaser and Redmond would all be battling for starting time. Also when injuries happen you would still feel pretty good about the next guy coming in. Breeland is a solid upgrade from what we're used to at CB #2 but the Pro Football Focus numbers I think over-exaggerate his abilities.

Well I hope he considered a riding mower after his foot issues.
