I do not currently own either of them, but plan to get an AK before the PC tide engulfs us all

And no, it wont be turned in... I'll wrap it in oilcloth and bury it first

Keep in mind this is what MiamiChiefsFan88 said was what the majority of gun owners believed in and this was common sense gun legislation like in Australia.

I have never been around an AK. AR's are what all the locals I hang out with have. I kinda want to shoot an AK just so I can say I have. May have to search around for a decent used one

Much bigger bang not nearly as accurate. Fun none the less.

The difference in sound between 5.56 and 7.62 is very large.

Look up M16 vs M60 sound. Same thing for the most part.

If that ever happened, I would probably seek to buy an AR15 to prepare for the inevitable.

This shows how little I know about them. I thought they were a 5.56.

The first deer rifle I used as a punk was grandpa's old 7.62 Russian. And yes, one helluva bang! And you can teach deer to play dead like almost instantly

ak and m60 are not the same 762 cartridge though.

An AR15 is louder than a AK i think. decibel wise. I have both, i think because of how much hotter the cartridge is in 556Nato it is louder. I think a 223 or 556 goes about 800FPS-1000FPS faster off the top of my head
