Tell me about Tampa Bay? What do you know?
I told the company in Phoenix thanks but no thanks. Now, I've got a job in Tampa Bay that I've interviewed for, past the tech screen and HR wants to talk. What do I need to know about the area? Which ones are nice? Avoid? etc. Looks like you get beachfront property for 1/2 of what it was worth a year ago. Has the area real estate reached bottom yet?

The job would be at a military base in the area on the bay.

Hey any of you locals with a boat you can park it right outside my living room and visit. Really cool place. My wife saw a dolphin ouside playing by the dock yesterday.

That wasn't a dolphin. That was a genetically modified catfish gone terribly wrong. I'd stay out of that water if I were you. Stay far, far away.

Took my dog to Fort De Soto Park yesterday. Had a blast as usual and saw a "school" of dolphins bobbing in and out of the water. You'll have to make your way to Fort De Soto, it's a very cool place. It was ranked as America's #1 beach last year by Trip Advisor. http://www.pinellascounty.org/park/05_ft_desoto.htm

We were on the way to Clearwater Beach in St. Petersburg today and drove by the Gay Pride Parade and festival. We stopped to check it out. Pretty wild stuff you don't see in Missouri.

A Dolphin sightseeing tour boat came down my inlet today. Wondered if we have that many Dolphins in our little bay to warrant a tour boat????....then tonight I was watching a ball game and saw a splash and went out to check it out and a whole school?, at least 6-7 Dolphins were playing out in the water. One was chasing the other around and through the legs of the dock jumping out of the water and splashing. Pretty cool experience for a long time Missourian.
