Electronics Soundbars? - Page 2

I received quite a big gift card for Christmas. I have read many reviews LG, Sony and Samsung sound bars. I have an LG 55inch LED 3D TV. Anyone here have a sound bar? Any recommendations would greatly appreciated. I do have a 300.00 budget and would like a wireless sub.

I had a Vizeo soundbar for a while and thought it sucked. I had to buy an RCA isolator to stop a ground loop buzz and the remote stopped working after about six months.

Also, the wife started bitching about the number of speakers between the sound bar and the HT speakers, particularly the center channel and front speakers. To clean things up, I started to look around to see if anyone made a passive sound bar that would replace the front speakers and the center channels.

I found this one at a reasonable price and good reviews. After setting it up, I am very impressed. I will admit that I'm not an audiophile but I do think the sound is very good and clear and it works well both with regular TV and with movies. Audio during movies is much clearer than it was before.

The only real downside to me is that you have to use the HT receiver even during regular TV. However, it isn't really a big deal and it's worth it for cleaning everything up and making the wife happy.

My wife has this sound bar. The sound from it is AMAZING. Comparable to similarly priced surround systems but takes up 1/5 the space and has no wires really.

Can't beat it.

I have a dirt cheap ($100) Samsung bar on my gaming TV and it's not nearly as good of course, but for the space it consumes, it can't be beat.

We use it for music a lot too, and it makes for a bad ass stereo.
