My job is similar to that of a fireman. If there is no crisis on the Shop floor, I have nothing to do. The best possible situation for my employer is that I get paid for eight hours of doing absolutely nothing. My salary is less that the cost of using me.

As long as I avoid the porn sites, there is no problem with me surfing the Web.

B: 98% of the time (My home computer is hit and miss—just shuts down sometimes). I don't think my boss knows, and not sure about the IT people. The fact is, I get my work done, so I don't think it will be an issue.

Crap - just as I posted that I post at work, they come and bust me! Some crybabies walk by my desk and see me on here and the next thing I know I'm told to "cut it back - alot". Damn, what's the world coming to? :confused:

I'm a stock options trader for a few large retail and institutional clients. So when I am not trading for them, my job is to be available when they call...So the biggest part of my job is passing time in between clients...So as long as I stay out of porn sites then nothing online is off limits.

I'm 95% B...I sit 5' from my boss, keep the window minimized and post during processing and slow times...and get my work done....what they don't know, won't hurt em'.

the trick is to get your work done first..and try to avoid getting the IT lady contacted.....I'm sure i'll get busted someday...but it makes it that much more of a challenge...007....I just wish the big arrowhead at the top of the page wasn't so obvious and a panic button to a spreadsheet was added...
