Should the Browns hire John Dorsey?

Am I the only one who thinks this is the biggest no brainer in the history of earth?

Cap space wonít matter for years, all those precious draft picks....

They suck so bad itís not like anyone in that front office or coaching staff will be around next year.

Yep. That Manziel pick was all Haslam. No Browns staff wanted him.

He can scout well but his coach hiring prowess is still a total unknown.

It's easier to do well with a borderline HoF coach.

That's a pretty damn good point. What would an organization like the Browns with a coach like Hue Jackson do if some dumpster dive castoffs like Ron Parker, Husain Abdullah, Terrance Mitchell, Frank Zombo, Spencer Ware, or Jarvis Jenkins suddenly showed up on the team? Would they even know what to ****ing do with them?

What about all the players Dorsey drafts who require great coaching to hone their athletic skills and become great players? Do the Browns have the personnel to make that happen? A guy like LDT probably eventually "gets it" in Cleveland since they seem to be okay at developing linemen, but the Browns have NOT been able to develop a passrusher or defensive lineman in recent years to save their freakin lives. Let's say Dorsey drafts a guy like Rakeem Nunez-Roches for them in the 6th round. Pretty damn good depth and a valuable part of the rotation for us. Do the Browns have the faintest clue what to do with that guy?

It should also be noted that as far as I can recall, the Packers coaching staff has had only one coach “poached” as a head coach since Holmgren left, Joe Philbin, who was a disaster.

Green Bay’s success has come through Brett Favre and Aaron Rodgers.

If Cleveland wants to be in cap hell and have players get cut while John is taking a pee pee then by all means go after him.

Alex Smith would be perfect for Cleveland.

He's a perfect fit in Jacksonville. Team ready to win immediately, which is good because he's getting closer to the end.

Strong running game to ease off pressure, easy as hell to win division and an executive that will want him desperately in Tom Coughlin.
