I personally think the Fat Man Mangino nailed it. Dollar signs. That's all it is. With the NCAAs coming up, the Big 12 wants a high seed, prime time TV draw that will hang around until at least the Elite 8, and the easier road they can get for KU, the better the TV revenue for the whole stink on ice lot.

Nobody gives a shit if ISU makes the tourney or not, nobody gives a shit where KSU is seeded. The Big 12 wants KU as a high seed, same as they want Oklahoma in a bowl game every year. Dollar signs.

And as far as the refs. They'll say "oops, my bad, sorry Hoiberg. But your name is not Bill Self." No way they hand ISU a game on a charge. One thing I will say, EJ still had to hit the free throws to put the game in OT, so I'll give him that.

Just my opinion after watching Big 12 Basketball for 45 years.

Honestly though what makes you think Kansas doesn't do the same?

The way sports are now, if you wanna stay on top you sometimes have to pay to get the very best. College sports/NCAA is a multi-billion dollar business. Is giving blue chip player A $15k-$20k a semester in duffel bags etc worth it financially if his success brings in hundreds of thousands and millions into the institution? Of course it is.

I can assure you that Kansas does shit like this, as does Kentucky, UNC, Duke, MichSt, UCLA, Cuse, or any other bigtime bball program. It's just a matter of whether you get caught and how much you matter to the NCAA. That's the reality of it all and there's not a thing anyone can really do about it. Money is everything and the only thing to big business.

Take a look at some of the MU game threads.....you never see a opposing teams fan complaining about the officiating. Oh sure....Pete's Vagina is raw, along with a few others, but you wont see other fans whose team is not involved in the game bitching about the calls going in favor of MU.

Now, look at any KU game thread.....which MU isnt even in the same ****ing conference anymore....And here comes the Yeast Infections (Saul, Blowhard, Pete, Bundy, Bourbon, PGM, Beer).......

How many times has ISU been nipped late this year? I'm starting to question Hoiberg's late game coaching. ISU completely shit themselves in OT. A well coached team doesn't go into OT at home with their heads hanging, regardless of the circumstances.

ISU had that game in hand. They were up 7 with ~3 minutes on the clock and they're bombing three point shots with a full shot clock. Poor decision making. Miserable defense. They deserved this loss.
