I don't mind the Tune on Brittney's voice, the producers have it mixed to perfection with her natural voice, that only Brittney is going to have that sound.

Using the voice as an instrument can be just like any other instrument.
Plug a Les Paul into a Marshall and it's going to be the same sound for everyone, until the personal play style comes out, and that is how you get your unique sound.

That said. Like Dane has mentioned, it is easy to just wrap a Tune on the entire vocal track, but the difficult part is to get it to blend with the vocalist to perfection... where you still get the performance and the style from the singer.

Shit like the CHER or T-Pain? effect is where autotune gets stupid. All of that robotic shit.

The problem is that she can't sing. She has an interesting voice but she doesn't have any power. But that said, who cares? She's got an audience and they don't care.

It's more likely the producer because her vocals are awful. I saw the raw footage of her concert DVD and heard her voice (which was replaced) and she makes Linda McCartney sound like one of the Three Tenors.

I've never heard her natural voice without any production so I suppose I can't comment. I will take your word for it.

I'm not a Brittney fan (or any Pop music for that matter), but I respected the hell out of how her last album sounded on a production level and the time each one of those producers most likely put in to make it sound as polished as it did. There was not a single frequency that ever hurt my very sensitive ear drums.

There are definitely some great producers in that genre but they're helped immensely by VST plugins like the Arturia V Collection, Native Instruments Komplete 9 and Maschine.

It's nearly impossible to get a bad "sound" out of any of those virtual instruments.

The song was produced as a rock song, with no tuning. Great voice, so why tune?

Well, the reaction was this: "GREAT song, great singer, incredible presence. However, we can't monetize as a rock song, it has to be electronic with tuning".

Tune a child's otherwise perfect vocals. Yeah, great.

While I agree, she knows here audience. This song was produced for Euro night clubs. She'll sell a few million singles on iTunes.

She actually does. She hires the best songwriters and producers in the biz to create music for her and her audience. She, like Madonna and others before her, have it down to a science.
So Dane... It's hard to get REAL facts here in Vegas because everyone is trying to manipulate the media with thier own distortion.

Is there any truth to the rumor that Britney's "Piece of Me" 2 year residency tour is tanking in sales here at the Planet Hollywood?

There’s an older documentary, IIRC pre-kids, that followed her around on tour and showed some back stage stuff. In one scene while she’s getting made up she breaks out into a Cindy Lauper “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun” and it was putrid. Terrible doesn’t cover it. Simply amazing that she has ever had a career singing.

Good gravy Radar that's a damn fine lookin' Jeep. What is that, about a 6" lift? It has to be at least that. So what's it got for power? Probably a Chebby motor right, 327?

I like the white on white look. That's what I did with my Magnum. I put a white R/T rear of hood to fenders stripe kit on my white car. I think it looks pretty cool. It's funny seeing people's reaction when they notice the stripe.
