A-Roid gets drilled by Dempsters

http://deadspin.com/ryan-dempster-be...s-t-1164355300

Took a few pitches to actually drill him. Girardi gets tossed.

Basically Dempster doesn't get tossed and if Sabathia throws at a Sox player he'll get tossed.

Video inside the link...and why are the red sox pitchers coming out when no Yankee did

Somehow that doesn't make me think of Dempster as any less of a clown.

Well, that's nice.

Only took him 4 pitches to finally get the job done.

That's kind of embarrassing.

Was he trying to throw it as hard as he could?

Pretty average for Dempster. Besides 1 1/2 years of his entire 16 year career he's been a pretty trash pitcher who got overrated on a shitty Cubs team.

He didn't earn the nickname Dumpster for nothin.

I still remember him walking 3 straight batters and promptly serving up a Grand Slam vs the Dodgers in the '08 playoffs. Ended with 7 walks in 4 2/3 innings... ****ing terrible.

I have noticed this a lot watching Alex over the years in NY. Especially when he feels like he is getting heat from a crowd, he makes all buddy buddy with everyone. The umps, the other team, ect. He won't really argue with the umps in those situations and I knew if he got hit he wouldn't charge.

I used to defend Alex when other Yankee fans gave him shit, but after this saga I don't feel for him at all. That play still got my blood boiling too. I love how Sox fans seem to ignore the players on their team that took roids. Does Dempster throw at Ortiz in the locker room?

I always love when people say "hometown scorekeeper". Do people not realize it will end up hurting the pitcher's stats?

They all went nuts and gave him amp'd up high fives for his HR. They clearly were happy it happened, and not just because it helped the score. ARod made it clear from his reaction that he wasn't going after Dempster. Do we even know that some Yankees didn't come out of the bench?

I will try to find video but I thought Girardi absolutely nailed his presser after the game.

Dave, maybe you were taking a piss, both benches cleared after Ryan Dempsey hit A-Rod and Girardi was ejected.

How ironic Red Sox fans at Fenway Park were chanting, "You're a cheater" to A-Rod, when PED users David Ortiz and Manny Ramirez were arguably the biggest keys to winning two Red Sox World Series trophies in 2004 and 2007 - along with Trox Nixon in 2004.

Try and keep up.

The Red Sox would still be nothing more than a punchline without Manny Ramirez and David Ortiz. But yeah, they've totally got the moral high ground here on the ARod PEDs situation.

I'm glad you are on a good high. Never have liked A-Rod, but he was just doing what everyone else has was doing, still doing. He sucks now, which eliminates the argument. If they hadn't ****ed Bonds over, he would have kept going.

This is why the DH is such a joke...pitchers can do shit like that with little to no repercussion.

Did the Yankees hit anyone? Shocked Pedroia didn't get one...
