So my wife decided to use my laptop....

.....earlier this week, and she hooked up a wireless mouse.

I like to simply use the touch pad, so I removed it, but now I can not just tap and click on the touch pad.

I am having to use the left button below the touch pad to click.

How do I fix this?

How do I get it back to simply tapping the touch pad to click on links?

Win7 is an incredible improvement over Vista. If your machine runs XP well, then there's a good chance it will run Win7 just fine.
