Off Season Lets Talk Guns
Been a while since we had a guns n' ammo discussion.


Some of you are AR shooters Im sure. Im looking at a Colt 6920. Will be my first AR. Picked up a Glock this fall and really enjoy shooting it. Any feedback on that weapon?



Anyone else been in a buy/sell/trade mood with hardware?

LOL. I was taught when using iron sights to make the tip of your nose touch the charging handle, to ensure the same cheek weld. I never did or do use that method unless I'm forced by some instructor that swears by it.

Why do people put popup sights on an ar15 with a scope when they can't see them? Is it all for decoration only or am I missing something?

This. Often they'll be referred to as BUIS (back-up iron sights).

Advisable if you have optics that require batteries. I personally don't need them since I've got an ACOG.

Ok this answers my question , now for another one .. are all say magpul popup sights compatible later if you want to go with a scope or are the sights that work with a scope a special type?
