I think when the mobile app hits, the draft will be even more fun.
You really have to be at a keyboard and mouse to operate the draft board right now, but when you can keep up on the go, a lot of the frustration about the time it takes for the draft will go away.
I think that's my biggest beef, personally. Even if I set my draft board, all it takes is 4 players to be taken for my potential player strategy to change. So, if I want to make sure I get what I want, I have to clear my draft board to keep it from auto picking one by accident and manually draft him.I have to be in front of my computer to do that because I have a PC, tablet and mobile phone. The interface behaves the same on the tablet as on my phone, leaving only my PC. On Sunday, I sat by my computer for 8 hours waiting to pick. 8 hours and 40 minutes later, I watched my pick go off the board from the Olive Garden, on my phone. I get that part of it is the beta aspect, and as always, I'm just giving feedback.

So, long story short, this is a beta tester request to prioritize the mobile app!

I can do everything on my phone except move around the guys on my draft board, which admittedly is problematic at this stage. Is that the same situation you have?

I get that it's harder to use a smartphone at the moment, but it's not impossible. You can't rearrange your draft queue, but you can still add and remove names from it. If you would have put 3 or 4 guys into your queue from your PC before leaving for Olive Garden, you would have probably gotten the guy you wanted. But even if someone a few picks ahead of you caused you to change your strategy or if more than 3 or 4 picks went off the board rapidly and left you with no one in your queue, you would have had an hour to check in and draft the guy you wanted.

As long as you leave the autodraft unchecked, when you get on the clock, you can remove everyone from your queue and just add the guy you want before checking autodraft and refreshing to make your pick.

When do we sign rookies to their contracts? During FA?

This first issue for me is that it opens on the roster management page by default on my phone, so it's a trick to navigate to the rookie draft page. It's a 50/50 prop to get players on or off my board once I'm there (it's like the page will half load then go back), I've never been able to move them up or down.
I have an HTC Sensation, so I'm not the new hotness, but I'm not old busted, either.

Yeah, I kind of had a unique situation.

But, in general, you are right. This is useful information for everyone. Thanks!

Edit: It sucked on many levels, making it unique.

I believe it was pretty much right after the draft. But before FA, so you knew how much money you had to spend.

Can we sign them right now then? I know it gives you the ability to offer them contracts.

Hmm, looking at it right now, it's still on the "free agent" signing where you can only offer 5+ year contracts. That's a bit of a glitch we need to address. I'd hold off on signing rookies until cdcox takes off the free agent re-signing and turns on the ability to sign contracts of any length.

But yeah, signing the rookies will happen immediately after the draft based on current plans.

The Topeka Thugs have addressed their biggest concern through this draft, the secondary.

S Kenny Vaccaro had a solid rookie debut vs the Falcons
CB Tyrann Mathieu seems to be a baller making that huge play on the forced fumble and a 14 pt swing
CB Robert Alford had 2 PD's and 1 int for the Falcons

looks like some nice additions to my team

How are UDFA's handled? Are they just regular FAs?

Yeah, they'll go into the FA pool, so you can still get them later if they start to blossom (and you're the high bidder).
