Overall, I'd bet that the Broncos region on that map is probably about 50 percent larger in population than the Philly metro area. It's a bit more spread out, though.

No, all of Washington and the populated portions of Oregon. Its more then a days drive from Portland to the Bay Area. Major cities in the Seahawks market: Seattle, Portland, Vancouver BC, Spokane, Boise.

Maybe. The Leafs threw all sorts of fits when the Senators were brought in. I doubt they will be very happy with a team that is even closer. Buffalo might not be too happy either.

This is a topic for another thread, however, it seems Buffalo will lose a lot over the next 10 years. All that will be left is a pigeon stained statue of Ralph Wilson. What a shame. |

If the Chiefs had a couple of championships in the last 30 years maybe, but Okies seem to more closely relate to Texas than Kan/Mo. OKC is undoubtedly in the Cowboys' camp.

Low population areas and to be designated a team's area it just needs a simple majority of the identified fans in that area.
Also, good point that was mentioned about NFL weekly tv maps and predominant teams shown in x or y area. To a degree it's a built in self fulfilling prophecy. If you constantly get to watch 1 team predominantly, it's almost a given that people will become a fan if they don't have another factor for their allegiance otherwise. It's just an extended hometown team by de facto tv markets.

Rams area should be smaller.
Steelers should probably be bigger...
