I don't have any hate for Denmon in the Norfolk State game. The entirety of the blame for that game is on Haith and English. English played 38 minutes and scored two points. Bullshit thigh contusion or not, that mother****er flat choked. He stinks, and I hate him. Denmon put up 20 on 5-12 shooting. Not great, but it's essentially as good as Jabari Brown's best offensive nights.

Trayvon Bryant was a massive waste of talent. I had friends who were at Mizzou at that time who would play pickup games w/ the basketball players and they all said that he was by far the most talented player they'd ever been on the court with, but the guy's style never translated into an organized team game.

I ****ing despised Justin Safford for all the love the guy got for being a hard worker. He got worse his last two years. He ****ing sucked, end of story, and I want to nail him to the ****ing cross.

I'm too young to remember the failure-ridden squads of the late 80s, and the collapse of the 93-4 team I place more upon shitbag Khalid Reeves playing out of his ****ing skull (Stoudamire obviously wasn't a shitbag).
If you watch the replay of the Edney drive you can see Sutherland just absolutely whiffing on making Edney work to get downcourt....that's the guy I truly blame. I can agree that Norm carries just as much the blame...

I can't hate Denmon....the guy is probably one of the best recent in-state players we have had since Peeler.

I had forgotten about Travon Bryant....

Justin Safford was a complete waste of a scholarship.

And I'm not too young to forget the 80's failures, thanks for bringing that back up.

You know what I think will happen....this team will beat Colorado State and then go into the game with Louisville with a chip on their shoulder and play out of their skulls.

With 55 seconds to play in the game we will have the ball and the lead by 5...a flurry of traded Free Throws with quick 2's will leave the game with MU leading by 2 points with 12 seconds left. At that point Louisville will set up a designed play that will leave either Russ Smith or Peyton Siva open for an uncontested 3 that will hit nothing but net as time expires.

Or Louisville will do what they did before and bury us by halftime and MU will quit.

I'd like to see a close game with Louisville, even though I'm confident MU would blow it, but I think Mizzou will be torn up by Louisville's pressure and I just don't see how they can avoid being blown out. Aside from a hot-handed 3pt shooting team, I can't think of a worse matchup for the Tigers.

I've never seen so many Mizzou fans being pissed off because the team MADE the tournament. It's bizarre. I remember it being a big deal when Quinn got the team in his first time. I think it's just because this crop of players have been such pussy choking bi polar French surrender monkeys. It's maddening. It really is.

Wasn't Bryant and McD's AA?? I remember seeing him and Jeffrey Freguson (LOL talk about a real pos on the bball court - he was getting school by reg student rec players, dunno how he got a scholarship to be honest) on the rec courts....Bryant had major talent...just never could get into the college game...he was okay his Sr year IIRC, but he should have been an AA w/ his tangibles.

Wanna know something funny? Kevin Young was the 2nd rated best big man in the state of Florida coming out of HS......who was the first? Amare Stoudamire ....little bit of a gap in talent there I'd say.

Most MU fans I've talked to were excited of the conference move especially for basketball because KU wasn't in their way and they could possibly win the SEC should they get past Florida/KY. Well the season started and KY wasn't nearly as good as advertised and most Tiger fans thought the conference was theres. No more 3rd - 6th place finishes anymore. Well instead this team choked bigtime and performed worse in a shittier conference against shittier teams.

Missouri (25). The Tigers have Final Four talent but sub-NIT poise and execution in late-game situations. Give them a chance to blow a lead in the final minutes and they will. They're also helpless outside of Columbia, Mo.

We made the fraudulent five! sums up our season perfectly.

To your comments on Denmon, how is 20 points on 12 shots "not great"? It's very good in the NBA, and it's great in college.

What's it like to be a Mizzou basketball fan?

"Hey Charlie Brown, why don't you run up and kick this football?"

Colorado State thinks they should have been seeded higher. Don't seem too concerned about Mizzou because of their pathetic tournament history:

http://tinyurl.com/cw8uz3w

FORT COLLINS -- The Colorado State men's basketball team knew it was a lock for its second straight at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament. But when they found out their draw on Selection Sunday, they were still a bit
surprised.

CSU (25-8), which finished second in a conference that has five of its nine teams in the field, received a No. 8 seed in the Midwest Region and will play No. 9 Missouri (23-10).

"I would've guessed 7. We were kind of shocked that we got an 8," CSU senior forward Pierce Hornung said from the Rio Mexican Restaurant where the team hosted a watch party Sunday. "But you've got to go with what you get."

For the second straight year, the Rams will head to the Bluegrass State, playing Thursday (7:20 p.m. MT, TBS-31) at Rupp Arena in Lexington, Ky. -- a destination senior forward Greg Smith did not expect.

"You didn't hear Lexington. You were hearing Philly and all these other places," Smith said. "But I'm just glad it happened."

The 8-9 matchup is strength on strength, as the two teams both rank in the top four in the country in total rebounding percentage. CSU is tops at 58.7 percent, but Mizzou isn't far behind in fourth at 56.4 percent.

The Tigers, who finished 11-7 in their first year in the SEC and had RPI top-50 wins over VCU (23), Illinois (39), Ole Miss (50) and Florida (6), shoot 46.0 percent and score 76.2 points a game, but it's their defense that CSU coach Larry Eustachy brought up Sunday.

"They like to pressure and they like to trap," said Eustachy, who will be guiding his fourth different team in the tournament after coaching Utah State, Iowa State and Southern Miss to the Big Dance. "We've got to take care of the ball to have a chance."

As opposed to this time a year ago when the Rams had to anxiously wait for their name to be called, Sunday's announcement was short and sweet. After the show opened with Louisville as the tournament's No. 1 overall seed, the CSU-Missouri matchup was the second off the board.

It happened so fast, Smith said he wasn't even watching because he assumed it would take longer, like it did in 2012.

"It just happened so quickly," he said. "We're still hearing about Louisville being the top overall seed, and the next thing you know our name is being called. It's definitely different. Now we've just got to go out there and play."

"It was quick today, the second game announced," added senior guard Dorian Green, who said he hopes to get more mobility this week in his sprained ankle. "It was like we saw that, and now the party's over. Let's get ready for Missouri."

The Rams, who would likely face Louisville on Saturday if they get past Missouri, were one-and-done in the tournament last season. They turned the ball over 21 times in a 58-41 loss to Murray State, an experience Smith said should help prevent a similar performance this time.

"We're not going to get caught up in so much of the hype, as we did last year," he said. "You see these different teams that have been here before and the way they act. Now we're going to be like them this year."

After starting the season 21-4 and cracking the national rankings for the first time in 59 years, the Rams have slowed down the past month in going 6-6 over their final dozen games. Eustachy said his team looked "sluggish" and "tired" their last time out, a 75-65 loss to UNLV on Friday in the semifinals of the Mountain West tournament. Giving players two days off since then, he said, should have them fresh and ready to play better.

"It's a long season, and we've laid it out there a lot, harder than anybody in the country. Nobody does anything harder than us," he said. "I feel that we will leave it out there on the court, and if it's good enough, it's good enough."

Some of us are just tired that nothing in this state ever works when it comes to sports! LOL, when SKC wins their title, they'll be a Kansas franchise! Other than the F'n Cardinals, and on this side of the state we hate them too, whatever this state is doing, they're not producing winners in sports. That sucks! I'm glad my travel budget was slashed, it just sucks going places and not having much of anything to brag about! Really, "we have awesome tailgates" gets old...

I'd like the Governor to simply tell the schools and the state colleges that "sports matter, and they need to win, for the sake of the state just win!"

And this team just found a REALLY bad time in the whole space-time continuum thing to ****ing suck hairy ape balls and blow things that make the world question their motives. Yeah, they suck! KU had a bad week and they came out of it - MU, they still suck hairy goat balls. They learned nothing! These ****ing useless assholes need to be kicked out of the school just to scare the next crop that come in!

Being in a different conference has nothing to do with how shitty this team has been playing, it has to do with the coach and the player.

Being a KU fan you should be able to relate to this, when it comes to your football program.
