Would you trade the no. 1 pick for Cam Newton?

We ran into this topic late Saturday night in another thread.

I personally don't like Cam at all. He's got a ton of talent, but is an absolute idiot. He can't even learn a full playbook. Newton has put up some big numbers, but they haven't translated into a lot of wins.

He is 13-19 as a starter over 2 years.

58.9% comp | 7,920 yards pass | 40 passing TDs | 29 INTS | 1,447 rush yards | 22 rushing TDs |

Would you give up our no. 1 pick for Cam Newton?

Alright shitstain: 40tds in two seasons equals an average of 31 tds a year? Try 40/2 reerun. He also has 29 ints in that time with an above average qb rating of 85ish (Fitzpatrick pulled an 83 last season) and two losing seasons. Not to mention what 4-5 public meltdowns/crying like a baby after losses. Most of his stats are garbage time anyway.

Swag doesn't win football games douchebag, just ask huge dorks E Manning, P Manning, Roth, and Flacco.

I do not care for players, who, when down 28 late in the 4th quarter, score a meaningless TD and do the fake open my shirt like Superman B.S. Self promoting, not caring about the team, showing off. Bowe has done and I don't like it but he doesn't do it every time.

No way in hell I'd take Newton for our first. Not a fan of his at all. Never was. He peaked his rookie year.

For the Chiefs to draft our OWN ****ing QB to be QBOTF & face of the franchise would = going to the Super Bowl.

I'd like to experience a first round draft pick QB to watch him prove himself and get better even if he struggles I'd rather watch our own hand picked QB than some other teams QB no matter how good they are. I want to see something new for a change. Geno could bust OR he could win us Super Bowls? He could win Super Bowls for who ever drafts him this year, we will pass on him and five years from now be regretting it. ****ing 30 years have passed from our last first round draft pick QB.

Cam would be great and smart trade, but he isn't what I want to do for this team. I want to see an unknown QB that has the tools and potential to be great that we take with our first pick of the draft. **** anything else.

Agreed. I have a feeling we're in for a major letdown if people are expecting us to grab someone better than Cam in this year's draft.

Luck or RG3 Available in the draft? I will keep my pick

Geno ****ing Smith the best QB in the draft?.... I will take Foles or Alex Smith any day... Maybe even Flynn

Face it, the Cheaps picked the worst year in the last 20 to suck and need a QB
