I figured I would start a thread for this and see what happens....there seemed to be quite a few viewers on the board for this show the past few weeks.....I like the direction the show is taking so far......episode 3 tonight at 7 central on ABC....

That's an interesting theory, and would tend to agree with it. I kept trying to figure out why Hurley had that guitar.

Interesting. Makes sense to me. I definately think Hurley was visited by Charlie. Claire and Kate makes sense. I don't think Claire told her to hump Jack though. I could be totally wrong... just feels weird. And if Sayid was visited by a spirit, I hope it was Nadia. But it would be fun to see Shannon again... as much as I disliked the character.

I thought about Nadia first and then didn't remember any connection she had with the Island. That's why I went with Shannon.

I also think it was Widmore who beat the crap out of Ben. Some people are speculating that Ben went to kill Penny and Desmond beat him up. I think Desmond would have no problem killing Ben in such a situation. We know that Widmore and Ben can't kill each other so, to me, it makes sense that Widmore saw Ben sneaking around his daughter and had some goons rough him up.

I think that's a definate possibility. I'm not convinced that it was Des specifically that beat the tar out of Ben. But I do think Ben went after Penny. Some are saying perhaps that's too obvious and maybe Ben was going after Sayid in some way. To get him back to the island. But right now I'm thinking he was after Penny. And you're right. If Des was there and able he certainly would have killed Ben. No question.
