That's kind of what it is. The person with the highest percent of votes in Round 1 takes on the person with the 32nd-highest, 2nd takes on 31st, etc. It minimizes the odds of the two strongest contenders facing each other early in the tournament.

I like it.

I'd hate for Bourne and Batman to meet randomly in round 1 while random seedings also somehow create a second round match that includes the winner of a random Rooster Cogburn v. Foghorn Leghorn battle in the first round.

I think we'll see a few upsets this round anyway (particularly when we move away form 1 v 8 seedings)--and not many easy battles in the second round because of this system...
