One of my coworkers came up to me today and said the KU classic line.

"I can't wait for basketball season to start!"

The funny part is, he's a Mizzou fan, and he was on his way to the VP's office - the one that went to Vandy.

That made things hurt a little less.

I hate that, too. I will continue to watch in hopes of seeing the team play better as the season goes on. I guess my expectations were too high for this football season. Definitely expect to see a lot of improvement in year 2, though.

My expectations are about where I thought. Team has shown improvement from last year....not in record, just improvement. I expected to have a better record than we do.

The only thing I thought would be better than it is, is Crist. I didn't expect an all world all pro QB - but I expected him to be better than he is.

Of definitely. While I didn't expect Crist to be all word, I thought he would be halfway decent. He has been a major disappointment.

there's a reason Mr. 5 Stars wasn't starting against a freshman. Why no one with crimson and blue foresaw this is confusing.

His lack of composure was quite shocking to me. He looked pretty damned good in the first quarter, and part of the 2nd, but I can't think of one reason to keep playing him for the balance of the season. I'd play that Mathews kid and get him some experience for next year.

True. But me personally, I wasn't expecting a 5* QB....but I didn't think he would be a normal KU QB either.

They are mildly competitive.....which is an improvement.

Not really.

Their record last year at this time was 2-3 instead of 1-4.

They've been "competitive" against dogshit competition, (Rice, Northern Illinois).

They were competitive with TCU (a game I was at), because TCU had 3, maybe 4 turnovers in the Redzone. That was an amazingly awful game to watch in person.
