76ers Iverson Not So Bad After All
Just heard on CNN that Iverson will pay for the funeral of a 22 year old man who refused to give up his Iverson jersey to a bunch of street thugs...


Guess there is good in some people who sometimes have a bad rap...

What about if Iverson just offers to buy new jerseys for those that get theirs stolen? Fewer people dead, unless of course one's life isn't worth the cost of a jersey.

Just heard more on the story... I guess 3 teenagers beat this guy up 3 years ago... His family just now took him off life support...

iverson hasn't had a bad rep for like 10 years. If half the people in the league had the heart as him people in the midwest might actually watch. Iverson should be the captain of every usa team he wants. He takes it to the rack every time even though he is small. He was one of the best QB's I ever have seen play and i think mike vick backed him up in high school

Alot of people in the NBA do alot of good things. There are some that are bad, but thats with any sport. Alot of players do alot of shit for thier communities. Hell, i am a Lakers fan and i dont even like shaq anymore, but he still goes back to L.A for Xmas n hands out like 1-2 million in toys a year to the inner city kids. He doesnt have to do that at all, yet he does.

True, Shaq gives more money to charity than any player in the NBA. And as for AI, the guy has heart plain and simple, he plays through injuries, and for the most part keeps his mouth shut unless provoked, "practice?". What a stupid, stupid move by the front office in Philly to shop him this off season.

I've always thought Iverson got a bad rap. Sure, he's made some questionable choices at times. However, you can't deny that the guy gives everything he's got to win.
