Iowa Hawkeyes represented well in the Draft

I can't wait to see how Roth & Babs do in the show; as well as the other Hawks. The f&*^$^% Faiders need to QUIT drafting Hawks!

Matt Roth will play for the Miami Dolphins.
The first Iowa player to be selected was Matt Roth, who was taken in the second round at the 46th selection overall by the Miami Dolphins. Roth will be coached in Miami by the same coach he played his final college game against in former LSU and current Dolphin head coach Nick Saban. Jonathan Babineaux was the second Hawkeye selected in the draft, as the defensive lineman went to the Atlanta Falcons in the second round at the 59th pick overall. On the second day of the NFL Draft, three more Hawkeyes were selected beginning with Sean Considine, who went to the Philadelphia Eagles in the first pick of the fourth round at number 102 overall. For comments from Considine on being selected by the Eagles, please follow this link to the Eagles website: Considine has a home

Tony Jackson was the next Hawkeye to hear his name called, as Jackson went to the Seattle Seahawks in the sixth round at pick number 196 overall. Read comments from Jackson on being selected by the Seahawks at this link: Tony Jackson Conference Call Transcript

Finally, Pete McMahon was the fifth Iowa player to be selected this weekend, as the Oakland Raiders selected McMahon at the end of the sixth round at pick number 214 overall.

Signing as undrafted free agents following the weekend were Hawkeyes Tyler Luebke (Redskins), Derreck Robinson (Chargers), and George Lewis (Dolphins).

I'm really pissed that McMahon went to the Faiders - they got a STEAL for a guy that completely neutralized both Marcus Spears AND Erasmus James last season. He'll play RT and they'll have Gallery at LT.

Derrick Robinson is another guy that I'm pissed about. You just watch, he'll beat out Luis Castillo in camp.

Totally agree. Greasy Al may be insane but he knows a little about football, enough to steal a Ferentz-coached O-lineman. Two of our boys wearing the pewter& pitch? I can't freaking take it.
Good call on D-Rob, he has the skills and the work ethic to make that squad.
