barkley seems to miss some easy throws regularly...and he had an open wr on the second to last play and overthrew him...
Yeah, isee that too...but I watch a metric ton of football and see guys get overthrown by every qb including Rodgers Brady and Brees.

The Barkley overthrow in the third quarter (when the cb fell down) was inexcusable, though. Gotta hit that one.

I'd still be on top of the world if we got any of the top 3 and Bray might be worth a look, too.

If we draft a QB in the first round, I will definitely support that QB for the next 3-4 years. That said, I definitely have a preference. Oh and **** Bray.

yeah, i'd still draft him...just need to be clear on what you're getting so you can scheme appropriately

i hadn't been impressed by bray until today...he looked legit, with a big arm...better than barkley, but a much smaller sample

I don't know why some here don't like Barkley...I bet the same posters didn't want Matt Ryan, either.
don't hate Barkley but just not wowed by him either.

arm strength - ok but he doesn't exactly have natural zip on his throws either
release - isn't slow but it's not a 'quick flick' either
ability to find a way to win - not really
History of USC QB - tend to be soft

I just think you should want more if you take a QB top 8

I wasn't "wowed" by Aaron Rodgers or Sam Bradford either so it doesn't mean they can't/won't succeed.

I agree that missed throw was awful and costed them the game. The guy made some other great throws though. I really don't know this is frustrating reminds me of asking a hawt chick to prom except you have your pick of 5. Of course we'll get the one with STD's.

I didn't.

And in defense of myself, he hasn't exactly proven me wrong yet.

Surrounded by all-world talent, they were a run-heavy offense to protect him until this year.

And his playoff performances have been thoroughly underwhelming.

Ryan looks GREAT this year but still has plenty to prove.

A bad class involves a group of QBs who all have serious red flags.

2010 was a bad class. So was 2011, and if it weren't for Stafford in 2009, then THAT would be a bad class as well.

2013 WON'T be a bad class. The talent is there among all three of the top guys. Quit bitching and be excited that we're going to take one of them.

and that's just it, there is always something we're not seeing...that's why you have to pull the trigger and see what happens

hopefully, you have someone in the organization who believes in a guy...and hell, maybe you just get lucky...but you can't get lucky without trying

i thought dalton sucked ass, and he's started from day 1 with no running game...

and with the new salary structure, it doesn't matter if you think a guy isn't 'top 10'...if you think he's the guy, just take him

ya. sure.

None of these QB's are elite. I'll roll with Smith, Jones... Cleveland is gonna take Barkley and I'm gonna laugh at you as he turns to stone.

Barkley will be a good NFL QB if he's drafted by a West Coast offense team. I think he'd struggle in just about every other system.
