Would you rather be 8-0 with Alex Smith or 3-5 with Geno?

Our offense is terrible with Alex Smith. It would likely be worse with Geno given his propensity to turn the ball over and give the other teams points through pick 6s and returned fumbles for TDs. So seeing as how we barely win with the offense we have now, we'd have likely lost more than a few games if we had Geno as our QB.

But would you rather take those growing pains with Geno, or be 8-0 with Alex and be in the driver seat toward a first round bye in the playoffs?

Wonder what fans in Cincinnati are saying? The Browns held that O to 6 points.

They made up a locker with the number one on it and sandcastle was the name on it.

Sucks that they didn't just draft a guy at one they could pimp to the little kids.

BTW my eight year old daughter was the only kid in the tour to get it

Well duh, you can't win a Super Bowl unless you have a first round QB.

So if we would have drafted Geno in the first round we could have won a Super Bowl with him. There would have been no point in drafting him in the second round.

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

I'd love to be able to say that statements like "I don't know if KC could handle a losing season or two with a rookie QB without demanding another retread" or "I don't think a lot of Chiefs fan understand what it takes to be competitive in this league" or "I don't think most people understand the high risk/high reward strategy is the way to go over low risk/win now strategy" are absurd, but I have my doubts.
The Chiefs are 8-0 and could beat anyone outside of Denver. You might never get that with Geno.

It's easier to understand the complaints with not drafting a QB with Fisher sucking so badly as he has... but hindsight's a bitch. Clearly, Reid didn't like Geno that much... and had already liked Smith and Daniel.

Still too early to say that Fisher is a lost cause... and still too early to write off Geno as a bust QB too.

... but the idea of drafting a rookie QB that would almost certainly keep the Chiefs from being a winning team in yr 1? That was not an option for the front office and coaches... and it shouldn't be. Not with this roster and the need to get the team and fan attitude changed.

Why is it only this team feels it's Draft a QB in the first OR trade for one?

And that choice always being to trade for one?...

Guess timing is everything? and if you don't like your QB options in the draft... but do like a FA option available.. well then that's the call. You know your KC history better than I...

Was the same way in SF... always getting his teammates to stay late and practice some more.

He should probably never go home until the season ends.

What's kind of funny is that Joe Montana, who has four rings, was a 3rd rounder, and the guy who would like to catch him, Tom Brady, was a 6th.
