Keyshawn Johnson?

Chiefs | Team interested in K. Johnson
Tue, 21 Mar 2006 20:53:45 -0800

Arthur Staple, of Newsday, reports free agent WR Keyshawn Johnson (Cowboys) is drawing some interest from the Kansas City Chiefs, according to a person close to the situation.

*According to a person close to the situation? I don't know what this means, just posted this for goodness sake.

He'd be the only guy we had that would be big enough to go over the middle. Problem is his hands aren't what they once were and his speed doesn't scare linebackers at this point, much less corners.

As long as the price is reasonable... Sure, why not?

Although I think he's a douche and would hate rooting for him.

I'd also say that signing an aging declining WR doesn't seem to jive with the direction this team appears to be going in.

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

Thank God we didn't sign Keenan McCardell...

Actually, he's become quite the model citizen since the Bucs kicked his ass to the curb.

I know he's been low key lately, but I still remember him as the original TO from when he played for NYJ.

There's some guys in this league you hope you never have to root for. He's one of them.
