Game of Thrones (spoiler-free zone)

A few have suggested it, might as well test the waters. The idea is to give people who haven't read the books a safe place to talk about the show.

A few quick ground rules:
  • No Spoilers!!!!! for upcoming episodes.
  • Larger Song of Ice and Fire discussion should be limited to the other thread although I think a tiny bit of book delving to fill in holes should be okay (example of this would be talking about Catelyn and her treatment of the wolves in the novel, which was alluded to on TV but never really made clear...)
  • Everything that happened that week is fair game once an episode airs. So if you don't watch on Sunday night, I'd stay outta here until you do...

Things that may not be clear in the books can still be made more clear on tv, if the producers decide to go that route. I don't think that comment really gave anything away at all. But this is probably the kind of discussion that might be better to table for a week until we see how the show handles the aftermatch of the assassination. I have no idea how it's going to play out (which is great, speaking as a reader...).

You'll have to avoid all threads on Game of Thrones then, cuz this one is overall about as spoiler free as any I have seen. Just so many book readers out there now that there is always a risk of someone going too far. Book readers need to be mindful of not mentioning anything in this thread that hasn't been on the show. Talking about what will happen or what has or has not been confirmed in the books can often result in unintentional spoilers.

I read the books but yeah that was a definite change I saw--they definitely left it up in the air on the show with the way they presented it.

Haha, and apparently they like him too as they made him about to be some kind of sex genius last year. Pod the sex stud? Lol, okay.

Can you gussy up my quote for me so I don't look like such a chode? I originally left off the 'apparently,' hence the 'four' then I forgot the 's' on the end of 'like.'

Can't be grammar police with poor form like that.

I would say "I don't think it's the quote" but that would be rude.

JK - I wish I'd had started with it - THEN I could sink into it, I'm sure.

It does look interesting when I pass over it.
