Hasn't the concept of parity been popular enough for a long enough period of time that one could reasonably expect people to instinctively know how to spell it, if only from osmosis alone?

And, yes, it is true that parity should be spelled correctly. And after you've paritied the apple, one should always use the peelings and core for compost.

Most people get this wrong, so I'm trying to bust your chops, but when used in a sentence with fruit, it's spelled "pearity". It's one of those odd rules that makes English so unique.
