Ah...

To your point though, it is a plot hole - or if not a hole, then something that has yet to be revealed. We see in Rey's vision in Maz's basement, Ren and presumably the students that he took with him after they torched Luke's new Jedi training facility. Where did they go? Where are they now? I'm not going to call it a hole, as there is still one movie to go, but I hope this gets answered in the next one.

After what they did to Snoke I fully expect them to just all blow up off screen.

So good. I really drank in the cinematography this time.

That shot of Luke staring down a garrison of Walkers is going to be legendary.

I can't wait to see the artwork people make out of this movie.

This saga isn't about the old characters.

You should be happy Chewie is even around for moments of comic relief and a few growls.

He's been used perfectly in both TFA and TLJ.

He's the family pet.

BTW, another plot point I thought would occur that Rey would turn to the Dark Side.

Enter Luke to fulfill that he's the Chosen Son. Which would take two movies to pull off.

Thank god they didn't go that route.

It would have been completely unbelievable.

Completely.

Like, it would have been LESS believable than Anakin's turn.

It's obvious now where her commitments lie.

Lots of vitriol in this thread. Not even sure where to jump in.

As has been previously noted, the whole hyperspace bomb thing seems too easy. You could take out a fleet of star destroyers with handful of crappy old freighters if they were equipped with hyperdrives. I guess it's one of those things we just shouldn't think about too much, like the transporters in Star Trek.

And speaking of Star Trek, what the **** was up with Snoke's chamber? It seriously reminded me of a planet scene from TOS.

Well, to write that you had to skew her subconscious showing her delusions of pain, and separation from reality. It have to be a schizophrenic acid trip in carbonite all orchestrated by Snoke

Johnson says almost all of the deleted scenes will make the Blu-ray release, totaling roughly about 20 minutes or a little over.
Quote:
There’s a whole extended sequence where Finn and Rose and DJ sneak through the Mega Destroyer when they’re kind of, after they sneak in with DJ and they’re trying to find the tracker. There’s a whole extended sequence. It’s a full sequence of like stuff with them sneaking through this big office area of the Mega Destroyer and then having to fake out these Stormtroopers.”
Quote:
“And then on the island there’s a massive sequence that we shot with Daisy and Mark, which is kind of an additional sort of trial/test that she goes through, that involves her and Mark, and then a big emotional scene between the two of them. I mean, it’s big stuff, it’s like actual real scenes.”
Quote:
“There’s an extended sequence with Rey and the caretakers, which are the Nun-like fish creatures. That’s actually one of the biggest things that was taken out of the movie. And there’s this incursion on Snoke’s ship, I mean there’s a lot of stuff that was cut out of that, with Rose and DJ and Finn, and some of it is particularly fun.”
Quote:
Last but not least Johnson confirmed that yes, there will be a blooper reel. So after you’ve seen The Last Jedi three or four times in the theater, rest assured the home video release will be well worth owning to check out this bounty of additional content

It is canon that force ghosts can interact with the physical world.

Furthermore, what if Rey's parents were abusive and she has a mental block because of it. Snoke then exploits that or remake her memories to show said emotional distress to create a dissociative personality. Like the CIA term concerning torture which is everyone breaks. It would also show Snoke' s mastery of psychological influence powered by the Dark Side.
