The total yardage was something like 600 to 200. Kansas had 25 yards in the second half. There was no point in the 3rd quarter when KU had all the momentum.

This team is still capable of losing to any team they play. The defense, while improved, is still run by the worst DC in the ranks. Thank AB for being the stud he is. That's been the difference. Additionally, this staff is the worst recruiting staff that OBZ has ever had.

It's no secret that I wish Snyder had not been rehired. He's made me look foolish so far. (point for OBZ). But the ceiling for this team may have already been reached. Imagine what we could be thinking had this staff brought home just one 3* dual threat QB. Instead we are playing with a coverted WR.

It's worked so far. But now we reach the meat of the schedule.

Don't get me wrong, this has been a fantastic 6 weeks. But I want this to the trend again. The norm. The expectation.

I guess we can hope for that.

I want there to be expectations. I want this program to achieve more than a repeat of 93-96.

27-17, KU ball at around their own 30. It was right after Broyles fumbled to the back of the endzone.

It was as close as that KU team would ever be to that OU team.

They had a chance to make it a game, but Gill went full reerun on a 3rd down play call.

Fair enough, but that hardly constitutes KU having all the momentum.

LOL you are right. I was still coming down from the KSU game earlier, so my judgement was probably a wee bit skewed.

I mean it's important and everything but when you've doubled the opponent up in victories it is not superbowl.
Go through your media guide and find the games with the greatest attendance at Memorial Track and Field and Sometimes But Not Very Often Football Stadium.

Get back to me.

The Chamber was actually recruited a QB out of HS, but I guess he couldn't beat out Carson Coffman in 09 and 10. He was labeled a "Pro-Style" QB by Rivals.

This team doesn't make dumbass mistakes. They tackle well, and they play within themselves.

We also get lucky. We are a few bounces of the ball from being 1-5 instead of 6-0.

Nobody cares about the MU-KU rivalry. A rivalry so steeped in tradition that even their most die hard, one time season ticket holders had to find this board before they realized how "big" the rivalry is/was/whatever.

Good point. But I'm sure if you grew up in KC it is a big deal.

I believe we do have a 3* athlete that is probably pegged as a dual threat QB. Daniel Sams, FR. I believe (not 100% sure at this point) he is being RS'ed.

KU-MU only became a big rivalry in the 90s after KU could not compete with KSU. When I was in high school (through 94) the Sunflower Showdown was still the big game.

I remember KSU/K-State being a big deal back in elementary school. I remember when the Mitch Running led Cats beat KU during a Thurs. night game.
