What franchise QB would that be? mmaddog ************** ------------------ "When you're not the lead dog in the pack, the view is always the same" |

Brees & Vick are both potential franchise QBs.
Don't worry, I'm sure Grbac and RbbC will be here until Carl calls it quits. ------------------ This is my signature!! There are many like it but this one is mine!! |

Brees is a Leaf-in-waiting and Vick, while a running threat floats the ball WAY TOO MUCH. When he gets to the Pro's they will eat that alive. mmaddog ************** ------------------ "When you're not the lead dog in the pack, the view is always the same" |

If I were Carl, I'd take that chance. Either would be an upgrade to EG, IMO.

IMO, the most important thing is to bring in an offensive mind to run the show who knows how to handle QB's. We could draft Joe Montana II and still have a crappy offense with the unimaginitive crap that goes on out there. We just do not surprise teams on offense. We don't even try. Gun pretty much told me all I wanted to know with his "razzle dazzle" comments last year. Our offensive weapons are DA, Gonzo and Cat, yet we minimize the touches they get by running the ball at every opportunity.
As for Stoyo, I tried to defend him in the offseason. He hasn't really done anything to make my arguments stand up. So I cannot really defend him anymore. Clutch kickers make clutch kicks, and we needed that kick in this low scoring game. He is in the final year of his contract so I suppose we won't have to see him beyond this year...<P> |

Vick didn't look that great the other night, and he seems very small. Don't know about Brees, I'm for waiting one year, we should get another high pick then too. But this is premature, we might just be good enough to pick 15th to 20th again, so maybe we can't get another mediocre draft pick. Slymo was good for us, but it was a deep draft. And if we don't make a coaching change who cares. I loved the 14 yard return when there must have been 6 Chiefs around the ball.

He should be cut before sunset, even if it means bringing in some undrafted FA with no NFL experience. At least KC would be trying!!

If KC picks late in the first round AGAIN, look for Carl to select another guard.

Watching the QB controversy begin again....
Rossley took Grbac and made an adequate QB out of him last year. The tools are there, is the coaching? DaWolf hit it on the nose.... Why did it take so long to recognize the talent of Warner? What happened that made Chandler so competent two years ago. It was not that they were slow developers, it was the fact that they had excellent coaches who spent time with them and pushed them to improve. We need better coaching, the playing staff (with the possible exception of both kickers and an overpaid corner) is fine. |

Geez Clint (regarding #8) - Didn't we already do that last year? And it brought great results didn't it?
More times than not, an overreaction to the situation makes it worse than the original problem. |

Anyone can miss crucial chip-shots. At least KC might possibly find diamond in the rough. Stoyo is now at about the skill level of Lin Elliot, IMO.
