I like this show but I think the producers may have a problem on their hands... The lead is just not as good an actor as the guy playing Jamal -- in fact he's awful IMO. They could really take this show in some interesting directions, but so far the main guy has been the weak link IMO.

I caught the finale...def hope they can get a 2nd season. So far the guy playing Barry is OK...I agree that Jamal is def carrying the show. Hoping it returns cause it ended on decently.

I hate how that actor is portraying Jamal. He sounds like he is on an eternal drinking binge or he's a borderline narcoleptic .

The guy playing Jamal is the only decent actor on the show. They are all terrible, especially Barry's annoying kids. And the uncle general guy...beyond horrible. Not to mention the soldier's uniforms do not look authentic at all, they look more like Halloween costumes.

Despite all this I still watched the entire season for some reason and will likely keep watching.

I've enjoyed it...not the best show by any means but im from the mideast so maybe why i have more interest than i typically would.

It's a great story idea, that's why I kept watching but poorly executed so far. This would have been an amazing HBO show.

Homeland is kind of sorta similar but way better. If you haven't seen it I highly recommend it.
