Alex Smith Traded to Chiefs

Well, it looks like the deal is done.

https://twitter.com/intent/user?scre...w_p=tweetembed

Jay Glazer @JayGlazer
49ers have completed a trade with the Chiefs for Alex Smith, tho can't be official til March 12. Chiefs really made a commitment to Smith

Jay Glazer @JayGlazer
Deal has been agreed upon between Chiefs and 49ers. Compensation unclear but I'm told again Chiefs have made a clear commitment to Smith.

So I guess Mike Nolan isn't the DC for the Falcons???

Us trading for Alex Smith is just as bad as the Browns taking Weeden in the first.

I understand your point, I really do. But throughout this whole thread, most posters have made it abundantly clear that we as 49ers fans have been spoiled by our QB play. Yes, we had a horrible stretch from 02-10. But what other team can say they had the same 3 QBs start 97% of the games the team played for 24 years? I'm not saying Alex is a bum, nor am I saying he is the Savior. He is what he is. Personally, I hope the get the Alex of 2011-12. I know my opinions aren't popular, and I don't care, either. Like you, they can choose to read them or not. If they don't like it, put me on iggy and , right?

I get it. Alex Smith though is that last kid picked in basketball, and the player no body wants. Thats all i was saying. We are very spoiled as 49er fans, although, i can relate, being a browns fan, i can relate to the chiefs pain....

First off, you didn't/don't know me from the 49ers boards. Second, I'm not your pumpkin. Third, stop trying to be Mr. Big Shot Football Guy - these folks ain't buyin' it. For the most part, all I've seen from you is sunshine and rainbows concerning Alex Smith and a shitpotload of insults against ANYONE who doesn't agree with your opinion. When you make a comment similar to the one I pointed out, when it was WIDELY reported on about the 49ers facing former coach Mike Nolan in the NFCCG, it doesn't help your cause or your case. Step back, take a breath, and be a little less of a superduperdeluxemegadouchebag.

Yeah. First, i have never said anything about rainbows and sunshine, and if that is what you are getting from what I have been saying, then you are as stupid as some of these fire first, ask questions later types on this board.

Feel free to point out where I make a mistake here.

Alex Smith is a very smart, game manager. He is not going to win many games, but hes not going to lose any. He has a philosophy that a punt, or taking a sack is better than a turnover. He is a great leader. He is not kaep, or aaron rodgers, he is alex smith, he is closer to being a matt hasselbeck type than being elite. Yes, whole lot of sunshine and rainbows. Im sorry im not like you, i do not care about what the select few on this boards think of me, or my opinion of Alex SMith, or me in general. You seem to care far more about that than i do.

Comprehension is not one of your stronger skills, is it? The people on this board DO NOT CARE what YOU think of Alex Smith. They have formed their own opinions, based on their own observations. Come back in a year, after he MAYBE plays well for them. Not you, nor me, nor any other 49ers fan will change their opinions. In fact, for a lot of the posts I've seen, it isn't just that it's Alex Smith, it's a 2nd rd pick and a conditional 3rd rd pick next year that have them pissed off. Trying to get them to see the light about Alex is like running into a brick wall repeatedly. Do you know the definition of insanity? It's been posted on this thread several times.

As a bonus, try, TRY to work on your use of grammar and punctuation, please.

thats the difference in you and me. I do not give a crap what they accept, or dont. I will state my opinion, if they choose to read it, then they do. If they dont, then oh effing well. Like i said. Punctuation and grammar police, you would start pointing out any little mistake.

Eff you. Hows that suit you turd?
