Alex Smith Traded to Chiefs

Well, it looks like the deal is done.

https://twitter.com/intent/user?scre...w_p=tweetembed

Jay Glazer @JayGlazer
49ers have completed a trade with the Chiefs for Alex Smith, tho can't be official til March 12. Chiefs really made a commitment to Smith

Jay Glazer @JayGlazer
Deal has been agreed upon between Chiefs and 49ers. Compensation unclear but I'm told again Chiefs have made a clear commitment to Smith.

Alex Smith is so pissed off about Kaepernick's homoerotic tats that he is said to be getting a replica of the Sistine Chapel ceiling of tattoos...a match of Hometeam's chest to show him how a real man rolls.

It has been a never ending circular battle for the better part of 4-5 years.

There were many many more who recently finally jumped off his bandwagon when Kaepernick came in.

They were in shock that we had a good offense limited by a game manager. All the Alexcuses essentially went out the window and they frantically tried to explain themselves, mainly by ripping into Kaepernick, a noob playing at a very high level.

I'm hoping that he is at least mentally stronger than Cassel. I'm tired of watching our QB turn into Armadillo Man at the first sign of pressure.

I see what a lot of people outside this forum see with Smith. He was unimpressive in many games, especially games in which he faced "NFL" style defense. I think had he played in the SEC, he wouldn't even be in the discussion because his game "shrinks" against better defenses and he becomes easily frustrated.

What's happened in this forum is that Claynus, for whatever ****ing stupid reason, has become the "voice of reason" with his YouTube videos and stats. Meanwhile, people that have actually watched him in real time (i.e., scouts, GM's, coaches, NFL Network folks, the Combine, etc.) come away far less impressed.

We've all seen how the media can pump up players. How Aaron Curry went #4 overall to Seattle is absolutely insane, yet Mike Mayock was beating that drum for months on end. Had those people in Seattle performed their due dilligence, they would have chosen Brian Orapko, Brian Cushing, Clay Matthews or even Max Unger (even though it would have been a round too high, they would have gotten an All Pro).

Anyway, discussions about prospects in the main forum are about as relevant as grocery store discussions about Kim Kardashian. Most of those people have
too much time on their hands and don't know what the **** they're talking about.
The game threads of WV games on here were high post count threads.

Theres a pretty damn big group here that watched all of his televised games live.

Keep wanting to ay it safe though and wait for that quarterback prospect that has no imperfections to come along in a year where we are bad enough to be in position to draft him.

It's worked great so far.

Two second round picks for a below average game manager. Yep; I wanna be the person that calls this a great move for KC, and can someone please fire up "Stand By Your Man" on the jukebox while I give Reid and Dorsey a simultaneous hummer too? Thx!

I know he got a few reps in the 3 on subs, but other than that I don't have a lot to go off of. I'm going to have to scour the internets for his film when JSmith was out.

Yup.

He didn't make too many plays for us either way. We'll let him walk if he wants to get paid.

I don't know if he'll get paid too much but I really don't know enough/haven't watched enough to know if he's an effective pass rusher. What are his positives (good hands, good base, explosive, smart, etc)? I realize that it's probably unrealistic to ask for such an opinion but I do think he's intriguing.

You know that piece of toilet paper that somehow gets stuck to your asshole and creates a dingleberry? That's Alex Smith.
Here's what's coming( and somebody pleeeeeease mark this for future use ):
Get ready for a weak-sauce version of Marty-era defense plus an even whiter bread version of Vermeil-era offense spearheaded by a SLIGHTLY better version of Matt Cassel. I'm talking overall effect/results, not schemes so please don't come at me with horseshit. THAT is your Reid/Smith Chiefs. Have fun with that.
