Most Pathetic Play In Chiefs History

Not worst play ever, as in the most significant bad play in Chiefs history.

I mean the one play in Chiefs history that was just so fundamentally terrible from a football standpoint, that it made you honestly question how/why the player(s) that committed it could have landed an NFL career.

My vote:

I believe it was 2007 or 2008, the last year or two of Herm Edwards. I forget who he QB was.

The Chiefs were down to their last play in yet another losing effort to the Colts, but they were only down one score with about sixty yards left to go.

The Chiefs go into a lateral-off, having several players lateral to keep the play alive until, hope against hope, one of them could break off and score.

Brian Waters. Tony G. Then the ball gets to Samie Parker.

Samie Parker dives into the turf, and crawls about three yards until a Colts player walks up and touches him on the shoulder, ending the game.

Brian Waters visibly pissed. Somebody explains to Parker what the **** he did, and he smiles and laughs with his knees still on the turf.

Beat that, Planeteers.

(I'll get a "most impressive play" thread going after this one runs its course.)

That was against the Seahawks in the Kingdome. I was at that game. My very first Chiefs game in fact. Louie came out to the bus drinking a Rainier beer. Pretty cool.

You know, that was an absolutely fabulous trick play and i've never seen it done since. I think somebody need to tell Reid about that. It should work again since its been 20 years.

I remember one year we were playing the Texans at home and Green got a pick six in a position where we were about to score a touchdown.

It turned the game to a loss and sort of turn the season as well everything after that was shitty.

Dave Krieg fumbles. Not a couple times but I think he set the record for fumbles. Small hands.

WTF Carl Peterson bring Dave Krieg to be our quarterback just because he beat us with Derrick Thomas sacking him 7 times in that game. Pathetic.

The Raiders finished 8-8 that year. We would have won the division and hosted the Dolphins in Marino's last game the next week. DT may very well be alive if Stoyanovich makes the FG at the end of regulation.

Having a new GM trade a 2nd round pick for some shitty backup QB, twice.

That was the Chiefs first game of the new millennium... talk about setting a shitty tone for the 2000's.

Can't believe that guy is in the HOF and seems to get a free pass for doing the same thing that the kicker that goes unnamed did in 95. I wasn't around then, but I'd still kick him in the nads the same way I would the other kicker if I had the chance.

My uncle and cousin left to beat traffic when the Chargers went up by a touchdown with a minute left, while my friend and I stayed. I still give them shit about it, but they usually don't take it very well.

Unless I've missed it, I have no idea how these two haven't been mentioned:

4th and 8 from deep in our own end in a tight game against the Broncos. Fake punt. You'd have to be an idiot not to see Brodie Croyle in punt formation.

And certainly worthy, the fullback (Tim Castille?) pass back to Matt Cassel when we had some momentum against the Chargers on the road.
