I thought this was a masterpiece; easily one of the ten best movies of all time 0 0%
Great movie; I wanted to bang either Tea Leoni, Elijah Wood, Morgan Freeman, or all three of them at the same time 7 25.93%
I'm homeless, it was unseasonably cold, and even I left the theater halfway through it 2 7.41%

“Deep Impact” made the mistake of taking a serious approach to an absurd plot.

Silly plot + inappropriate gravitas = embarrassing flick.

“Armageddon” was a lot more fun.

The premise of Deep Impact wasn't that far fetched. Yeah it was stupid, but it looked like Skakespeare compared to the dog turd that is Armageddon.

Like Gaz always says, you gotta turn off your brain. Once I did that, it was an OK movie. I thought Armageddon was OK, too. Neither were real good by any means. But they weren't bad, either.

I am a big fan of the "End of the World" genre.

I thought the movie was o.k, but the romantic angle with that Chick being portrayed as the goddess of the after asteroid mankind kind of sucked.
