Boomer Esiason just said on CBS pregame that...

the Rams are interested in hiring Jeff Fisher, and CBS supposedly confirmed that Fisher is interested in possibly switching teams like Herm just did.

Herm's offensive coordinator this past season, Mike Heimerdinger, came to NY from the Titans. A couple days ago he basically took a shot at his time with Jeff Fisher...

Quote:
Heimerdinger, who was on vacation in Phoenix, expects to talk with the team when he returns next week. He was sad to see his boss go, especially after Edwards kept the team together this past season despite injury problems.

"I thought he was tremendous," Heimerdinger said. "I've been a part of a team that quit on us with about seven games left and being miserable as a coach. Herm got them to play every week. You knew they were going to bust their butts. He amazed me."

Well we disagree about the average label.

But "900" seasons?

Ok, maybe that was BIT of a stretch...

I'd say he's above avg, but he's had plenty of time to get there, too. A good second pick would have been doing his thing come the first or second season.

Mitchell's problem was that he could never get healthy. I think this was the first year he was actually healthy and participated in all of training camp.

Stoping hating...it was two seasons and he didn't even start all 32 of those games.

Well, at least Shaw led his organization to a Super Bowl victory. Of course, Carl wouldn't have ever gone through the 3-13 seasons which helped the Rams get enough high draft picks to lead them to the Super Bowl.

I don't blame Fisher. Why bust your ass when you can coast through the season in the pansy-assed NFC? Instant playoff success!

Not only that but the Rams have a $3itload of talent on offense.

Bruce, Holt, Jackson, 3rd down back in Faulk, and when Bulger's healthy he's as good as any QB in the NFC.

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

They were discussing it on talk radio a little while ago. The commentators don't understand why any team would be interested in Fisher seeing that he has only had two winning seasons out of 11.

I don't know if there is any truth to that statement because I didn't look it up but it seemed like they were pimping Joe Vitt to get the job.
