Hamas called down the thunder

Never go to the parking lot unless you are ready to fight. If you do, you may get your ass kicked. These jackoffs asked for it and now they are getting it.

So, you're pretty sure that all 280+ were directly responsible for Gaza-based terrorism, then?

I am sure they are not all directly responsible. What war ever has not had collateral damage? The cowards like Hamas and the Taliban ect position themselfs that way. They locate near schools, hospitals and Holy sites banking on the fact there will be outrage over the collateral damage they cause by this.

I agree that's the fact of collateral damage. I only brought it up because of the desert that was emphasized.

The Pope thinks that it's gone a bit far too:

Pope condemns Gaza violence

http://www.google.com/hostednews/afp...9SJpO9QsjUZ-1Q

VATICAN CITY (AFP) — Pope Benedict XVI on Sunday denounced the violence between Israel and Hamas in Gaza, and urged everyone involved in the "tragic situation in the Middle East" to strive for humanity and wisdom.

"I implore an end to the violence which must be denounced in all its forms and a restoration of the truce on the Gaza Strip," he said in his weekly Angelus prayer.

"I call on the international community to do all it can to help the Israelis and Palestinians on this dead-end road ... and not to give in to the perverse logic of confrontation and violence but to favour the path of dialogue and negotiations," the pontiff said.

Benedict told thousands of pilgrims gathered in the cold and rain of St Peter's Square that he was "deeply saddened by the deaths and injuries, by the material damage, the suffering and the tears of the population, victims of this series of tragic attacks and reprisals."

"The terrestrial homeland of Jesus cannot continue to be the witness of such bloodshed which is repeated ad infinitum."

Preparations are under way for a papal visit to Israel, the Palestinian territories and Jordan in May 2009, which is yet to be confirmed by the Vatican.

The latest violence in the Gaza Strip has raised questions about the trip and the left-leaning Italian daily La Repubblica reported Sunday that the Vatican was considering cancelling the visit.

I grew up Irish Catholic and respect the Pope. That said he wants what we all want which is peace. Not going to happen ever. I wish we could walk away from the middle east and live in peace. I wish those in the middle east could co-exsit in peace. You and I both know that will never happen. I know in my heart there is evil in this world and these cowards are part of it. I will support any effort to remove it.

I don't know anything about whether the 280 are the people who deserve the thunder or not. My post was an expression of the hope that Hamas and those who support their terrorism get their just deserts, not an assessment of whether or not that is actually happening.

Israel should be looking for moral high ground. This is not a good way to get it. Sure to spark lots more terrorist attacks but maybe its what they want.

Right...it is always Israel that should tolerate the senseless murdering of their innocents.

If people were lobbing rockets into this coutnry at random I think you would be of a different opinion.

You realize if Israel took the "moral high ground" as you put it, they would essentialy allow themselves to be wiped off the map. Or do you not?

Yeah. Taking the moral high ground will stop it all.

Nearly a 90% success rate from the looks of these numbers. I would have to think that under these circumstances that is a pretty good percentage.

No, you just chose to slam one side in it all and ignore the actions of the other.

I understand people on your side of the political spectrum dispise Israel. I do not condone a lot of what they do either.

But I will not pretend Hamas doesn't bring a lot of this on themselves. And we never hear you peopel crying about the innocent Israeli's who died for getting on a bus of going to a pizza parlor. Let's jut focus on what Israel does and slam them for not taking it up the ass while their civilians are purposely targeted and murdered.
