Barry Richardson Wants To Cut Block Tamba Hali
Former Kansas City Chiefs RT Barry Richardson, is looking forward to playing his old team this Saturday when the Rams host KC in for the Governor’s Cup.
Richardson left the Chiefs in free agency this past offseason after serving as the team’s right tackle for the last two seasons. Richardson has done well for himself since arriving in St. Louis and it appears that right now he is the favorite to land the starting RT job there. Richardson talked a bit about playing his old team in a recent article on stltoday.com. Richardson added, “They have some people I played with for four years, so I finally get to hit them. That’ll be feeling good.” I always wanted to cut (block) Tamba. Richardon, also know as “The Bull Fighter,” around here, is famous in Kansas City for his absolutely atrocious play. He was one of the lowest ranked tackles in all of football last season according to Pro Football Focus. He was also known for his propensity to destroy drives by either allowing opposing pass rushers to run right by him or by drawing false start penalties, thus putting his team in a third and long situation. Richardson was also fond of drawing those penalties and then allowing the pass rusher to get by him. Anyway, the idea that Richardson would ever be able to get out of his stance fast enough to throw a block on a player like Tamba Hali, is, in a word, laughable. The only circumstances where I could envision Richardson getting a hand on Hali is if Tamba offered him a handshake. |

He does realize that if he pulls it off and injures Hali......that the entire Chiefs fanbase would attack and kill him......right?

He beat out Jason Smith (the guy taken just before Tyson Jackson at #2). Think about that the next time you are about to say Jackson was a bust.

Hali kills him almost every pass play and they can still run Houston up beside Hali and double the fun.

Maybe he is just gonna let Houston come clean on Bradford, pull toward Tamba and do the cut that way.
