Thought I would start a thread so we can discuss what went RIGHT

1. Tony Gonzales - if there ever was a doubt, it has been erradicated! He is the best TE in the NFL, bar-none.

2. Elvis Grbac - this guy is playing extremely well! If he maintains his composure - if he stays the course, it's Pro Bowl all the way. As AFC starter no less!!

3. Pass D. ONE pass allowed deep - and that was really a 'hail-mary' type heave from Gannon. Wesley was in great position - Tim Brown just came back for the ball.

4. DA & The Cat - both made the most of every catch. Sly's fumble was questionable - nevertheless, he and Derrick did a great job gaining yards ATC (after the catch)

5. Todd Sauerbrun - he BOOMED punts today.

6. OL - provided Grbac excellent protection! Oakland did not have a sack for the entire game.

Add yours! <P>

pass blocking- after watching the niners qb run for his life last week, I thought grbac would be pressured alot more. Pat dennis--- Just seems to improve every week.

Positive? How about Maslowski's replacing Bush and putting a massive WHACK on the Raidah RB. I'd like to see him do that about 40 more times next week.

I agree, put Maz out there. We've seen enough of Bush to realize that he is not going to have the impact many of us thought he would, myself included. Looks like Cannibal was right about him.

I actually thought Moreau looked pretty good today, but like always, as soon as a RB gets a couple of good carries, he's taken out of the game. I really feel it's hard for a back to be instinctive when he only gets a few carries a game. I think part of the RB's ability to be instinctive is getting in the flow of the game, getting a feel for the blockers, and the defense. Our RBs never get that feel. Until we have a coach that sees this, we'll always have problems maintainng consistency in the ground game. Death to the SitCom (RBbC).

The Chiefs are a young team, Wesley, Dennis, Bartee, Sly. They all made mistakes, but none were critical, ones that coudn't be overcome. These guys are growing and the Chiefs are going to get better as they grow. I thought Bartee played a good game in his first extensive action. He showed some speed in geting to Gannon on the corner blitz. I lke the future of the secondary.

How about the game called by JR. As more and more evidence comes out I have a feeling that Gun is the problem. It is a head coach's decision to sit on the lead. Think about it, we were able to go to our strength and their weekness all game except in the 3rd quarter when we sat on it and played field position against a team that was moving the ball all day on us. As soon as the Raiders scored to tie it we came right back with what, 3 or 4 plays to get down to the 12 before the fumble. I think the offensive potential is there, but we need a complimentary running game.
