When was the last time the Chiefs entered the playoffs as a big underdog?
Obviously it wasn't the past 3 times the Chiefs went to the playoffs when, each time they went in as a 13-3 team with a first round bye. I'm thinking back to the '94-'95 season when the Chiefs were the final wildcard and lost in Miami (Montana's final game as a Chief). But obviously even then they didn't enter the playoffs in the improbable fashion that they do now.
This is going to be interesting because for the first time in a while the Chiefs enter a playoff game as the team with essentially nothing to lose. No one expected the Chiefs to make the playoffs, and not many people are going to expect the Chiefs to beat Indy. The pressure is all on Indy and the Chiefs are playing with house money. |

I'm thinking Ganz vs. the Jets. Mid 80's 9-7 backed into the playoffs IRC

Don't you guys think we were home dogs against Pittsburgh when Montana was QB? I don't remember.

Probably in 92 against the Bolts....or 1990 against Miami.

I'm saying January 1994. We were underdogs against Houston. Beat them. Then lost.
but as much as this miracle/Disney movie in the making? Probably not. |
