Geno Smith fans roll call

NEW THREAD HEADER (11/17/12):

The list is gone. We will all be Geno Smith fans when he gets drafted by the Chiefs. For historical documentation's sake, I'll keep the list in a separate post on this thread: http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showp...postcount=3314

WHY GENO SMITH?
If you're wondering if Geno Smith is right for you, check out this brilliant post by Saccopoo:

http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showp...postcount=5388

Next, we have a few GIFs you may be interested in from the Oklahoma game. Insane potential. These are the elite throws that very few QBs can make. What more can I say? Geno Smith can be a franchise QB in the NFL, and the Chiefs need to take a shot on him.

GIF #1:
Spoiler!

GIF #2:
Spoiler!

GIF #3 (My favorite):
Spoiler!

HOW DO WE GET HIM HERE?

Glad you asked. I posted this checklist earlier. It probably belongs in the thread header, and will be updated as the Chiefs close out their season and start a new chapter in their franchise story.

Preparing for Geno Smith's Arrival In KC Checklist

1. [X] Lose games and acquire the #1 overall pick
2. [X] Get Pioli and the Patriot Way cronies the **** out
3. [X] Hire new GM/coach

OPTIONAL (but highly recommended):
4. [ ] Re-sign/tag Bowe, who really wants to play in KC with Geno
5. [ ] Re-sign/tag Albert

6 TDs in college football dude. Big XII college football at that.

I saw Landry choke on throws in the face of pressure. I see Cassel do the same thing every ****ing Sunday. The only difference is Landry is surrounded by a better team and a better coach relative to the level of opponent he plays.

Have you watched any other Landry Jones games in his entire career or is this your first one? They all look the same.

Evaluations aren't just "Well how many TDs did he throw?"

He's not a supporter. He just thinks, "Oh wow. 6 TDs in a college game. He must be really good!"

Oh, sorry Philfree.

I have watched every game of Landry's career, and he is the very definition of "system QB".

I have yet to watch another QB throw as many 5 yard hitch routes for TD's. Big 12 defense + very fast OU WR's = Jone's box stats.

That's NBD.
You love Geno I get it. He looked great as tonights game wore on but so did Jones and I'm not accepting caveats. They both played great under the circumstances in this given game. I had written Jones off but after tontight I still think he has a chance to be a player in the NFL. I think Smith does too and he's probably the front runner of the two but what's that matter when one thinks Jones may have something to offer as well?

How many other games of Jones have you watched?

If this is the only one you've seen, do some more research. What he's doing right now in the pocket is NOT what legitimate NFL starters do.

Maybe if he finds the right system he can one day be a successful game manager type of QB, but that means he's going to have to do a better job of taking care of the football when shit isn't wide open with ample time to throw.

Either way, he's NOT what we or any team really needs at the moment. He's simply not a 1st round QB.

I mean, at least Tebow had sky high potential if he ever figured out how to break down his throwing motion and build it back up over the course of several years. Jones doesn't have that.

I said I had all but written Jones off so yeah I have seen him play before. Alot? No but enough to see that he played better tonight in what was a big game for him. I saw him play shitty before too though.

He looked better then Tyler Wilson IMO.

Geno made throws tonight that I want my next Chiefs QB to make. Sure, he may be a system QB or whatever all the critics want to call him, but he's proven to have the ability to make every throw necessary consistently and in the clutch when needed, and at the end of the day, that's all you can ask for from your QB. We have the line and playmakers to make him successful, lets make this happen.

Today, yes. Tyler has had production against better teams .
