Long John Silver's To Treat Customers As They Attempt World Record

http://www.wjbf.com/story/25868376/l...t-world-record

Long John Silver’s, the world’s largest quick service seafood brand, will treat America to lunch on June 28 th and attempt to set a new world record for the “Largest Free Fish Fry” in the process. This Saturday, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at participating U.S. locations, Long John Silver’s will give one crispy golden fish filet and a serving of its natural-cut french fries to every guest who visits the store free of charge. No purchase necessary, no strings attached.

“Over the coming months, Long John Silver’s will announce special events and offers designed to surprise and delight our loyal customers and allow them to enjoy—or perhaps rediscover—the delicious seafood they love and crave,” said Mike Kern, Chief Executive Officer for Long John Silver’s. “We’re kicking off this summer of specials by inviting everyone in the communities we serve to come in and enjoy lunch on us. Think of it as America’s Fish Fry: everyone is invited and all are welcome.”

During the Free Fish & Fries event, Long John Silver’s will attempt to set a world record for the Largest Free Fish Fry.

“Free Fish & Fries is our way of thanking our loyal customers who have made Long John Silver’s America’s favorite seafood brand for the last 45 years,” said Kern. “To our knowledge, no one has attempted a fish fry on this kind of scale before, so we’re looking forward to hopefully creating a new world record at the same time.”

All Long John Silver’s locations are encouraged to participate in this national offer, which is limited to one customer per store, per visit, and is good for dine-in or carryout only.

To learn more, visit www.ljsilvers.com and follow the brand on Facebook (/LongJohnSilvers) and Twitter (@longjohnslvrs).

People are dumb.

Yeah, dumb. So...do they do this at every store? Anyone know when and where the next new one is opening up? I'm asking for a friend.

Let's both wear red carnations and maybe we'll see either across the room but won't have to meet.

I like it. But to be sure there's not an innocent mixup with some other random carnation wearer, perhaps we should wear red carnations and bowler hats.

i believe some of those people camped out in line for 24 hours in advance. So they basically camped out for $8.33 an hour.

People are dumb.
I worked security for the opening here. Freezing cold, horrible winds. People were camping out all night. They do it at every grand opening.

The idiots could have waited till lunch since the first 100 didn't fill up until 1:00pmish

Side note. A majority of the people lived nowhere near Enid and traveled all over for openings of all stores.
