Can Chief's O get back to "Old Form" the second half of season?

I have confidence that our D has turned the corner, but will our O ever wake up! 3 and out is getting old! Can we get back to the Chiefs O of the last 3 years? The answer will determine if we play in the postseason in 2005 or not!

I don't think we need to be the Chiefs of old. We just need to be a bit more consistant.

The offense looked downright bad for most of the game. Pass protection has really dropped off and the left side is not producing any running room on inside runs.

Trent finished the game 13 for 15 after starting 9 for 20.

We've gotten Gonzalez involved big time the last three weeks and Kennison had another solid game today, and is on pace for 1,000 yards.

I'm optimistic that we'll improve, especially if Parker gets back and start catching the ball instead of dropping it.

whoa now, max sir...

they might not look as good as they do with a healthy roaf and a healthy shields...

but they are still waaay above average...

it takes blocking to get larry into the secondary and larry was in the secondary a lot today...

and the pass protection was a little weak, but good enough to get the job done when it came down to it...

i'm pleased with the progress black has been making...

and i thought welbourn did better than he did last year at right tackle...

it seemed like some of our best runs today went to the right, to welbourn's side...

I was impressed with our offense after we hit Gonzalez for 33 yards. They picked it up.

The 3-and-out after Oakland's first TD was disconcerting. We have to start finishing games. The D broke under the strain today after playing so well for 3 quarters.

The D didn't break.

Gun went into a semi-prevent D.

Yea, that nickel defense was crap. Oh well, im not gonna complain about the D too much today...IMO they played the best and most consistant game all season.

I'm convinced that Black's progress has been hurt by the constant switch from left to right, and back again.

I think he was just starting to get comfortable last season on the left, and as a young guy just learning, his growth was stunted by the switch to the right side, having to learn all new mechanics.

I'm still convinced that when they decide to stick him to one side and give him time to grow into, he'll be good.

I understand that we have improved a bit on O from the beginning of the season, but we are long way off from where we used to be. I'm not sure we can be assured a playoff victory or more if we don't get back to our "Old Form".

.
Black played mostly RT last year, if not exclusively RT. And well, too.
