White House entertaining Russian proposal to interrogate U.S. citizens

https://www.cbsnews.com/news/white-h...-u-s-citizens/

White House press secretary Sarah Sanders said Wednesday that President Trump would discuss a Russian proposal to question American citizens, including*former U.S. Ambassador Michael McFaul, whom the Kremlin accuses of committing crimes in Russia.*

....

According to a proposal outlined by Putin*at Monday's Helsinki summit, Russian authorities would observe the interrogation of the Americans. In exchange, special counsel Robert Mueller would be allowed to witness the questioning of 12 Russian nationals the U.S. has indicted for allegedly participating in election interference.

Later in Wednesday's press conference, CBS News' Steven Portnoy raised the issue again. Portnoy noted that Mr. Trump had called the Russian proposal an "interesting idea" and an "incredible offer" in Helsinki. "Why would he say that?" Portnoy asked.

More in the link.

That's true, DNC is a private entity. Russians don't really have the cyber ability to get into something private like that.

Without the server—we can't get the whole truth. It's key evidence. It's like a murder mystery without having the body.
I am say in the first statement that it is possible that the DNC was hacked over the wire and another party, maybe Seth Rich, also compromised their data in an unrelated operation. Assange has hinted that he got the data from Rich.

If the FBI never reviewed the server or a back up of the server then their entire indictment and statements are based on bullshit and the FBI needs to be disbanded.

.
This is a fact, it cannot be denied.

The fact that the FBI indicted 12 Russians based on a PRIVATE ORGANIZATIONS findings is a joke.

Things the FBI would have done/Should have done to confirm:
-Secure Physical Server
-Secure Firewall
-Secure Switches

From those devices they would be able to detect and read logs that could NOT be altered. Why you ask? Well because Outlook/Exchange has something called "water marking". I suggest you look it up

How are we ever going to prosecute the 12 that Mueller indicted without making a deal for them?

Dude, Podesta's password was "password".

On top of that, if the data was exfiltrated over the wire then they aren't even monitoring that aka large file transfers or file integrity monitoring.

this is troubling because democrats helped create and pass FISMA 2002 and 2014 which addresses these issues.

It is the DNC's responsibility to protect their data.

For those that have been through boot camp...they left their footlocker unlocked.

That...AV end point logs, IPS, and IDS. Logs roll-over...which is why you have to use Splunk or some other kind of log collection tool that is tamper resistent.

The DNC didn't have any of the shit or they wouldn't have had this problem. We might know that the Russians compromised their data, but we don't know who ALL compromised their data. Apparently all you had to do was send them an email that promises a free burrito and you can get the keys to their kingdom.

From your article:

I say “widely believed,” because we don’t know exactly what CrowdStrike gave to the FBI.

First, CS doesn't own the server, and by server I mean a physical or virtual server, the DNC owns it. After CS investigated the server it was either replaced (the preferred option) or it was cleaned (meaning all forensic evidence was gone). Some evidence doesn't survive a reboot. Unless, you are saying CS investigated the server and found malware and the DNC left it that way. Now that would be truly stupid.

Well TBH DNC violated federal law when it comes to HIPAA. They failed to protect user data. I'm sure they had some stuff in their network HIPAA related.

Bernie Sanders.

It all makes sense. He's a jew. George Soros. Hillary ****ed him. He lit the DNC on fire for ****ing him, and then set his sights on Trump. Think about it. 29D chess.

I'm not sure why a VM snapshot of the server wouldn't be adequate?
