Will Charles hold out for a better contract?

Jamal is going to be paid a paltry $2.5 million in 2014. Thats not a typo. $2.5 million. One of the best running backs with 2-3 years left of prime time in his career..........I'm sure his agent is whispering in his ear. The Chiefs know its an insulting salary to pay one of the best RB's in the league.

You can say he signed it, play the contract out. But, its the real world.

NFL RB's that hold out always, always get their money. The template is clear. If Charles would set out a year, he loses $2.5 Million. You think he doesn't make that up in a new contract next year.

Anyone want to bet that the Chiefs give Charles a new contract this off season to avoid a nasty contract fight?

You are letting the way they finished skew your view of them as a whole.

If Houston and Hali stay healthy and we don't have guys like Lewis and Robinson in the secondary, the defense finishes as a top 5 unit.

That's what we can look forward to next year, IMO.

If Hali is cut, all bets are off. He is arguably the most important part of our defense.

I'm starting to agree. Clark have so many players who will show his wife their highlight tape, but never show her ****buddy what they actually helped the team win that was meaningful. So the would definitely be smart to be willing to trade all of their all-world talent, take those positions down a notch (if we can get something better than the MOTHER****ING bullshit bundle of sticks-asses that are our defense) and move on. And that's the whole defense IMO, none of the shit-ass cum-bags that play ANY position on the Chef's defense are key to anything. Even the Pro-Bowlers - they all suck the crust off the taint of well-used street walker after a hard night's work.

Alright, calm down there, bud. Our guys aren't that bad.

We just need to trim the fat and add a few more solid players and we should be on our way. Guys like Houston, Poe, Berry, and DJ definitely have a place on a winning defense. Hali and Flowers are just the most expendable due to cap situations and age.

Id they can pull it off (which i think Fat-Andy is too old, stupid, and stubborn to do!) I'll owe you a beer...

Until then, let me hate on everybody wearing MY city's name (by county) on their helmet. They have no allegiance to this city, and it shows on the field... They are all big fat overpaid bundle of stickss IMO!

He's a top 3 runningback. Comparing him to others is disingenuous.

Wait...why did you bump this thread?

It's pretty simple really. Keep Tamba and Houston healthy and get a capable backup to rotate in and we're a good unit.

These guys were tired as **** and hurt in the 2nd half of the season.

all the recent RB FA signings, and likely chris JOhnson being cut soon.

MJD, Moreno, Blount, etc. are signing small contracts.

I think this is where Vance Walker is gonna play a big part next year. He's gonna be lined up in the same spots he was last year. Put this guy in the A gap and he's good to go.

We need some sort of pressure from our DE's. Vance Walker has proven himself and hopefully Mike Catapano can do well too.

610 said Catapano had 6 QB hurries last year in limited snaps. The most QB pressures from our defensive line was 28 by Poe (over 1,000 snaps though). Hopefully Catapano can get at least 25 with a much bigger workload.
