I wish I could explain it. I know some people say that Woods played poorly last year, but him and Wesley were some of the only bright spots on the D, with Fuji offering some glimmer of hope at LB. This year all 3 have disappointed greatly.

I just DON'T understand how they became "crap" over-night as some seem to be suggesting.... Maybe I'm just stupid though.

Woods played well until half-way through the year last year. Since then I think his poor play has been caused by a combination of age/injuries and trying to overcompensate for poor LB play. Woods and Wesley seem to bite on play action more often the past year or so. I would think they are doing that, in part, because they feel they can't rely on the front 7. I also think they are having trouble with yet another new scheme.

Got paid. Why risk injury on a team going nowhere?

Woods is old and has a steel rod in his leg which he broke 2 years ago. It's no wonder he is slowing down but Wesley should be hitting his prime but for whatever reason he's not. Isn't there another Ed Reed type of player coming out of the draft this year?
