Undercarriage Rust
Nope, not a joke about your sister.

I have a 2003 Toyota Tacomo that was born on the east coast with salty winter roads and the frame is starting to rust out. The frame probably has about 2 more years left in it but want to pick ChiefsPlanet brains if there's another option besides scrapping it.

The truck is a beast and don't really want to throw the baby out with the bath water if possible. Any solutions for frame rust?

Also, for future reference, Al's Liner is an outstanding product and we use it for the undercarriage on the cars we build. It serves as both a sound dampener and anti-rust coating. It's most commonly used to coat truck beds though.

Took my 01 in about five years ago to the Toyota dealer in Boulder. Seem to recall them saying that there was a deadline on the recall. Also, on the rust, if bad enough the would repair/replace your vehicle. Mine checked out ok.
