If you had the time to walk across one U.S. state...?

...what state would it be, and why? And would you go north-south or east-west?

Assume that you have some time off and quoting Simon and Garfunkel, you want to walk off and look for America with a handful of Mrs. Wagner's pies.

Also assume that you are in your current conditioning. Take into account climate, scenery, wild animal attacks, proximity to McDonald's, and any other relevant criteria.

I like the fact that there are a couple of places on the guide map that say "many leeches". You can't go wrong with a vacation that involves "many leeches".

Yes one to brag about after you make it out Alive.

"...many leeches" The more the merrier OR nothing like picking up a few 'friends' along the way, maybe?

If I had the time and money to walk across a state I'd take the hobo route.

Hop a train and see the underside of America...

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).
