Dallas Braden

Braden just threw a perfect game vs the Tampa Rays.

Thats alot of perfect games in a 26 year span compared to the previous 80 years or so, especially when you throw in the fact that this is the juice head era.

I think its probably due to expansion and inequality. I haven't looked it up, but I wouldnt be surprised if close to half of those perfect games were against weak teams, where before with fewer teams there were fewer reasonable chances to embarass an opponent with a perfect game.

Seriously, as bad as the Royals are, at least we can say we did not give up the last 2 perfect games. Ray fans need to be wearing bags on their head tomorrow.

Forgot to put that into consideration. It makes a little more sense now. Still dont want to take anything away from Braden or any of the other guys who have been perfect. Especially Johnson and Buehrle, who have a perfect game and a no-no to their credit.

some of it may have to do with the fact that hitters think it's ok to strike out now...less balls in play

and he was on my bench today! Same with Kershaw.

Two shutouts...two wins...both riding the pine on my roster.

He did it against one of the best teams in baseball so no way you can downplay it anyway.

Had it been the Nationals you could question it. Regardless it is damn hard to do.

I probably win 2 more categories if he was in for me. I cut him for Michael Stanton who i hope will be called up soon.

They still have the second best record in baseball. I think they'll be okay.
